(AmmoLand.com) Tucson, AZSafari Club International Foundation (SCI Foundation) announced today that Gunwerks has generously agreed to donate one of their custom long range rifles valued at nearly $10,000 in support of wildlife conservation and outdoor education to the 2017 Beretta and SCI Foundation Conservation Leadership Award. The Award honors those unique individuals that represent the ultimate embodiment of the hunter-conservationist philosophy and contribute generously to conservation, education and humanitarian services efforts in both time and financial resources.

“SCI Foundation is pleased to welcome Gunwerks into its family of supporters. Having a top custom rifle manufacturer like Gunwerks involved in our event is a real honor. Their unmatched quality is a result of hard work and dedication: two attributes we strive to embody here at SCI Foundation. The Foundation thanks Gunwerks for their donation and hopes that the relationship between our two organizations will continue to grow,” said Bob Benson, SCI Foundation Executive Director.

Gunwerks has generously donated one of their flagship LR1000 rifles chambered in the Gunwerks-designed 7LRM (7mm Long Range Magnum) cartridge. “We have built our business and reputation on the LR1000 rifle,” said Aaron Davidson, Gunwerks Founder and President. “While we’ve since designed and built several excellent rifle models for different shooting and hunting styles, the LR1000 continues to be our best seller because of its all-around design. When we pair it with our 7LRM cartridge, you get the best-balanced package for accurate shooting at any reasonable distance.”

“The rifle is topped with a riflescope donated by Nightforce wearing a Gunwerks long range ballistic turret custom matched to the rifle’s true ballistics. As with any of our rifles, it will be ready to hunt right out of the box. While our rifles are easily capable of shooting accurately well over 1,000 yards, our focus is on one shot, ethical kills whether from 10 or 1,000 yards, or in any conditions. Our customers can rely on the LR1000 to do its job perfectly.”

Gunwerks has built a reputation as a leader in long range shooting and hunting since their beginning over 10 years ago. With an obsessive commitment to the science behind engineering and building the world’s most accurate and consistent rifles, Gunwerks has cracked the code in creating a true out-of-the-box long range shooting system. Yet Gunwerks has remained true to its hunting roots. A walk through their facility in Cody, Wyoming reveals a true passion for the hunting and shooting sports and the intricacies of fine gunsmithing. The Gunwerks business model is simple. They hunt hard. They shoot and train all year. They spend months, not days, with one shot between success and failure. They build some of the finest rifles on the planet.

SCI Foundation greatly appreciates the donation of the Gunwerks LR1000, and wishes to thank everyone involved at Gunwerks for providing such an amazing firearm to the 2017 Beretta and SCI Foundation Conservation Leadership Award Gala Silent Auction. The money raised will be used to help build the First for Wildlife Endowment Fund, which will be used to fund SCI Foundation’s mission programs dedicated to wildlife conservation and outdoor education for years to come.

The event will be held on Tuesday January 31, 2017 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. The evening will feature the 2017 Beretta Conservation Leadership Award Ceremony, a gourmet dinner, silent and live auctions, entertainment, and an open bar. Don’t miss this event or your opportunity to bid on this and other amazing items.
