Democrat Election and Crime Map
It is no coincidence that the mayors who run the most anti-gun cities in the nation are all Democrat & awash in crime…

USA – -(Ammoland.com)- It has been a week for the history books, for sure.

As a long-time gun-rights activist, I’ve got to admit that the feeling of being on offense for the first time in 8 years has been euphoric, to say the least. Removing a certain level of uncertainty in this ongoing struggle, in the sense that our side has taken hold of the reigns, has been a huge relief.

To use the football analogy; after a goal line interception in the fourth quarter, we’ve got the ball, and the march downfield has begun. The fun part of being on offense in this version of the game is that each possession is four years long, as we know all too well from being on defense for so long.

It’s been a blast watching the analysts on the other “team” pulling their hair out after losing the ball. Watch or read any liberal news outlet such as the NY Times, The Clinton News Network, MSDNC, ABC, CBS, NBC, and to a lesser extent, the Fox News Channel’s liberal analysts such as Juan Williams, Julie Roginsky and others. Heck, for that matter, read the Facebook posts of your liberal friends and family as they go whacko on social media.

(For me, that’s been more fun than anything else, watching liberal friends, neighbors and relatives go berserk)

Their “hypocrisy knows no bounds,” as Val Kilmer’s Doc Holiday character in the movie Tombstone, might say.

Prepare to Suck It

While it’s certainly a beautiful thing to watch and we’ve no doubt earned a break for a few weeks, there are ominous signs that remind us that after a well-deserved rest we’ve got to brush off the sense of relief and pull our boots back up. Of course, Bloomberg’s sucklings (http://everytown.org/ ) remind us every day, if you subscribe to their emails, etc., that while they’re down, they’re not out. Ok, no big deal there, that’s what we expect them to say when they come up for air between sucks, and frankly, that’s going to be their future for the next few years, so getting used to that rhetoric is a requirement.

On the other hand, in the world of politics, two lines in the sand were drawn by the Democrats this week that require our immediate attention.

First, Chuck Schumer was voted Senate Minority Leader by the socialists in the wake of despicable Harry Reid’s departure. I’m sure I don’t have to remind you that he is the single most anti-gun politician to step foot in the Capitol. Over his repeated election victories at the hands of liberal kooks in New York State, Schumer has embraced every single anti-gun measure ever proposed since the Earth began rotating around the sun, if he wasn’t proposing them himself. While his looming “Minority Leader” title is bad enough, (hopefully, the Republicans learned a few things from despicable Harry Reid when it comes to using Senate procedures to slam the door in the face of their opponents), there is another foreboding warning that the Democrats haven’t gotten the message.

I’m referring to a handful of Democratic mayors who have signaled their willingness to openly defy federal law, federal lawmakers, the President of the United States, and more importantly, the will of the American people, as it pertains to “protecting” illegal aliens in their “sanctuary city” communities.

What do so-called “sanctuary cities” and gun rights have to do with one another?

As I say on my radio programs, they have everything to do with one another! It is no coincidence that these are the same mayors who run the most anti-gun cities in the nation. Chicago’s Rahm Emanuel, New York City’s Bill De Blasio, Los Angeles’s Eric Garcetti, and on down the line of Democrats who have never met or proposed a gun hating bill that didn’t give them an orgasm. Their open willingness to snub our newly elected leader, the constitution and in fact, the will of the people makes it clear what they will do when, say, national reciprocity comes calling. Are you under any illusion that these men (and women) will openly embrace a new law that requires them to honor your right to carry in their states and specifically in their city?

Back to Kilmer’s Doc Holliday character, “You’re a daisy if you do.”

I have the utmost confidence that President Trump isn’t going to sit back and allow a small cadre’ of loudmouth, defiant, socialists who haven’t yet figured out that they’ve been kicked out of the playpen, get the better of him.

On the contrary, I think they’ll quickly get the picture; the new sheriff in town isn’t much for taking “no” for an answer. Either way, pass the popcorn, turn up the volume and grab a cold beverage, this is going to be fun to watch!
