The Scary Part About Yesterday

USA -(Ammoland.com)- Happy Halloween from all of us here at the Idaho Second Amendment Alliance.

The scary part about yesterday isn’t that it was Halloween and children everywhere will be dressing up as their favorite characters from movies and cartoons.

The scary part about today is how deep this gun control battle is getting. You can help shape that battle here in Idaho — more on that in a moment!

First the good news.

It appears as though the “bump stock” ban has stalled in Congress and that Republicans don’t intend to the let the bill go forward. After weeks of weak-kneed politicians caving to gun grabbers, gun owners struck back with a flurry of pro-gun activism.

That activism appears to have led to the demise of Pelosi’s gun control scheme — for now!

Even in Illinois, where gun control is failing miserably, the gun grabbers failed to get a foothold and their own version of a “bump stock” ban collapsed.

In the wake of these losses, the gun grabbers would have you believe that if you fight for freedom, you don’t care about the loss of innocent life. Nothing could be further from the truth!

Gun owners are just intelligent enough to realize that gun control isn’t the answer. It never has been, and it never will be. Gun control has proven ineffective at stopping violent thugs who seek to rape, rob, and murder innocent victims. Another gun control law isn’t going to stop them.

The bad news is, our enemies don’t seem to understand or care about the facts! They are continuing their assault on gun owner’s rights.

We have seen in the news recently that Moms Demand Action, Bloomberg’s star gun control group, have activists running for office in an attempt to get them on the inside to crush the 2nd Amendment.

Gun control groups also poured an additional $700,000 into the Governor’s race in Virginia. And just this last weekend we saw the San Francisco 49ers donate $500,000 to push gun control.

As if the N.F.L. hadn’t done enough to spit in the face of American Patriots, now they apparently intend to support infringing on your gun rights!

Have these people not learned?

With gun control continuing to fail, and politicians who promote it getting crushed at the polls, gun control is a losing battle. But that doesn’t stop weak-kneed politicians from continuing to capitulate to gun grabbers.

Even here in Idaho we saw a Republican admit that he would be open to gun control. That’s right, a Republican right here in Idaho!

Representative Luke Malek (District 4) recently did an interview where he was asked if he would consider gun control, or if he would always vote to expand gun rights.

There was a long pause and hesitation by Rep. Malek.

He then responded, “Bump stocks are something I would take a look at.”

Does that sound like a politician who is going to defend your gun rights?

Earlier in the same interview he told the host that gun control doesn’t work and that he supports the 2nd Amendment. If that is true, then why the hesitation? Why the willingness to look at “bump stocks?” And he isn’t the only Republican with a tendency to support gun control.

Right now, in the Idaho House, two more Republicans who voted in favor of gun control are still in office! Do you remember the historic vote last year when Idaho became the 9th Constitutional Carry state? Four Republicans voted against that bill!

Rep. Rich Will was removed from office last November by gun owners and replaced with pro-gun champion, Rep. Christy Zito. Long time anti-gun Senator, Bart Davis, was recently appointed to the Federal Court system. The other two politicians, Rep. Maxine Bell and Rep. Fred Wood, remain in their offices and have not had real challenges to their seats!

How long will gun owners put up with their anti-gun stances?

You see, just because we live in Idaho doesn’t mean that we don’t have to worry about gun grabbers or weak-kneed Republicans pushing gun control. They are here and it’s up to us to expose them!

But we can’t do that without your help.

Gun owners are what make the Idaho Second Amendment Alliance the incredible grassroots group it has become!
