David Hogg V. Audie Murphy: Who Is The Real Hero?

Springfield, Missouri – -(Ammoland.com)- This is what we’ve come to — David Hogg is being celebrated by the fake news media as a hero, schools everywhere are entertaining his “walk-out” movement to strip us of our gun rights and to teach our children that guns are not only evil, but something that only the select few should have.

Hogg is celebrating his 18th birthday. Already he is being funded and bolstered by Soros-elements.

Hogg is the new American Hero, what?

For those of us who read history, however, we can only look at this fake-news spectacle in shock and shame. No wonder liberals love Common Core and it’s History-abolishing curriculum. Liberals don’t want our children to know about REAL heroes like the 17-year old Audie Murphy in WWII. Heroes who, younger than David Hogg, wielded guns to save the lives of their fellow man.

This editorial laid it out yesterday comparing the two — it’s worth a read:

“…Hogg apparently, forgot to read about Audie Murphy, the Texas veteran who at about Hogg’s age in WWII, climbed on a tank in an open field and surrounded by Germans who were firing at him from every side, stood alone for more than an hour in a unrelenting hail of bullets until he killed every German in that field—over 50 of them.

Audie Murphy, lied about his age to join the army when he was Hogg’s age, 17. By odd coincidence Hogg rather resembles Audie Murphy in physical appearance—most services rejected Murphy because he was short and underweight, but beyond superficial physical comparisons, the comparisons stop.

Murphy, at 17, enlisted in the heat of war, in 1942 and in the next three years did hard combat in nine vicious campaigns. By 19, Audie Murphy had won every Army combat award available in those years, had become a national hero, had risen to lieutenant and had became the most decorated man in WWII.

Then, at Comar Pocket in France, Audie Murphy, barely 20—at an age too young to buy a gun in Hogg’s new Florida—did spectacularly more with a gun, earning the Congressional Medal of Honor by acts of courage never matched. His congressional citation reads in part:

FROM THE CONGRESSIONAL RECORD:

Murphy killed large numbers of the advancing enemy infantry with the advancing tanks abreast of his position. 2nd Lt Murphy climbed on the burning tank destroyer, which was in danger of blowing up at any moment, and employed its .50 caliber machine gun against the enemy. He was alone and exposed to German fire from 3 sides, but his deadly fire killed dozens of Germans and caused their infantry attack to waver. The enemy tanks, losing infantry support, began to fall back. For an hour, the Germans tried every available weapon to eliminate 2nd Lt. Murphy, but he held his position and wiped out a squad . . . . Germans reached as close as 10 yards only to be mowed down by his fire. He received a leg wound but ignored it and continued the single-handed fight until his ammunition was exhausted. He then made his way to his company, refusing medical attention, and organized the company into a counterattack, which forced the Germans to withdraw. . . . he killed about 50. 2nd Lt. Clearly, we have lost touch with the reality of TRUE heroism.

Audie Murphy was a hero. A young man who’s story should be celebrated today.

David Hogg is NOT a hero. David Hogg is the anti-hero who is being bolstered and pushed by Soros money to tear down conservatives like Laura Ingraham and to bully the rest of America into submission.

We must stop this. Celebrate with me, today, the Audie Murphys not the David Hoggs.
