Town Hall Information Meeting

7:00-8:00PM, June 3, 2010

In response to recent proposed county tax increases in Charleston and Dorchester Counties, combined with increasing member requests about opportunities for involvement and action, we are forming a number of “conservative citizen action teams”. The objective will be to serve as a catalyst to foster collaboration and support conservative citizens who want to be more involved for the purpose of influencing not only election outcomes but legislative processes, especially at the local and state level.

Please come to our Town Hall Information meeting Thursday June 3, 2010 from 7:00-8:00PM at the West Ashley Ryan’s restaurant, 829 St. Andrews Boulevard, to learn more about this exciting plan.

We believe our initial focus should be on City/County Council budgets, regulations, zoning, ordinances, etc. Emphasis will be on becoming more knowledgeable on the current City/County budgets as well as researching Council members and their voting records. We plan to develop positions and recommendations and implement an action plan to promote and positively influence Council actions.

We plan to hold regular meetings, and will expand the topics and number of teams in operation based on the conservative community response and interest in this campaign.

 Additional topics might include:

• Local-School Board
• South Carolina- Tax Reform, Education Funding, State Sovereignty, Voter Registration, Immigration, Government Spending
• Federal- Term Limits, Cap and Trade/Energy Policy, Immigration, 1^st/2^nd Amendments

We anticipate that our regular meetings would focus on involving conservative activism oriented citizens, establishing a core base of subject matter knowledge, developing conservative principled positions and recommendations and specific, actionable plans to be reviewed with any interested conservative citizens throughout the Tri-County area.

It’s time to make a difference through our actions, not just on Primary and Election Day, but throughout the year. We need conservative principled folks with good ideas, a willingness to take action and a passion for addressing the challenges we face as a unified community ready to do the real work required to make a difference. Political party hacks need not apply!
