OFA Admits It Liked To Cause Scuffles At Tea Parties

I saw this hilarious account of an OFA meeting in Kansas City from an undercover Tea Party organizer, but forgot to mention one of the standout lines in the presentation. 

The OFA lady started talking about the purpose of dems showing up at the
right’s rallies. She said that they like to work with their volunteers
to show up and counteract these things because then the media will cover
it. She used the example of Claire McCaskill’s 10 town halls. Not all
of McCaskill’s townhalls were favorable for her, but if the dems would
show up and cause a scuffle, then the news would stay and report on
that, and not the dissent. Clever, really.

We know this was the point because we saw it with Kenneth Gladney. It also helps explains the actions of people like Brian Matthews, Javonne Spitz and Cheryl Johner who were Carnahan Crew and OFA volunteers spoiling for action (with Brian and Javonne even called out by Show Me Progess blogger hotflash).  

As you recall, Johner would eventually plead guilty to assaulting a Tea Party activist the night of the Carnahan Forum on Aging.  After the event, Russ Carnahan would describe the attack as a need for “both sides” to calm down from their high tensions.

Boy – I sure hope someone has video or audio recording of paid OFA staff talking about their media strategy for altering the story on the Tea Parties from dissent to combat.

That would be great.
