Exciting News In The Fight Against Agenda 21 and ICLEI!
Thanks to fellow patriot Lisa Martin, I get these stories from a Google search. They are AWESOME!
First, the City Council in Fairbanks, Alaska says NO relationship or partnership with Agenda 21!
The Fairbanks City Council made it clear Monday night that it wants no part of a United Nations sustainability initiative.
The council voted unanimously in support of a resolution that states the city will not enter into partnership with the U.N.’s Agenda 21 if such a partnership would “infringe on the natural and sovereign rights of the citizens of Fairbanks, Alaska.”
The City Council also indicated they will never join ICLEI! I like this reasonable, balanced comment from the mayor:
City Mayor Jerry Clewoth spoke in support of the resolution.
“There’s some good stuff in there (Agenda 21); there’s a lot of bad stuff in there. When you talk about socioeconomic equity and how you would achieve that, there’s usually winners and losers, and even in the most socialistic and communistic countries, there are winners and losers,” he said. “There’s never equity that I can see in any system.”
The Missouri House of Representative has joined Alabama in banning ICLEI from the state! Here’s the report from an pro-Agenda 21 site (it implies it has passed but it needs Senate action!). It is similar to the Alabama act:
1.370. 1. As used in this section, “political subdivisions” mean all state, county, incorporated city, unincorporated city, public local entity, public-private partnership, and any other public entity of the state, a county, or city.
2. The state of Missouri and all political subdivisions shall not adopt or implement policy recommendations that deliberately or inadvertently infringe or restrict private property rights without due process, as may be required by policy recommendations originating in, or traceable to Agenda 21, adopted by the United Nations in 1992 at its Conference on Environment and Development or any other international law or ancillary plan of action that contravenes the Constitution of the United States or the Missouri Constitution.
3. Since the United Nations has accredited and enlisted numerous nongovernmental and intergovernmental organizations to assist in the implementation of its policies relative to Agenda 21 around the world, the state of Missouri and all political subdivisions are prohibited from entering into any agreement with, expending any sum of money for, receiving funds from, contracting services from, or giving financial aid to those nongovernmental and intergovernmental organizations as defined in Agenda 21.

The Huffington Post reports that a Kansas state legislator has introduced to ban “sustainability” in the Sunflower State!
State Rep. Dennis Hedke (R-Wichita) has introduced legislation that would ban Kansas state and local governments from spending public funds on sustainable development, Bloomberg reported on Tuesday.
***
Last year, the Republican-controlled state House of Representatives passed Hedke’s primarily advisory resolution against the sustainability initiative.
As usual the Democrats laugh at it:
Kansas Democratic Party spokesman Dakota Loomis told HuffPost that Hedke’s bill is Republican hypocrisy.
“This is another example of the Kansas Legislature meddling in local affairs and local government,” Loomis said. “They are big-government activists in the sheepskin of conservatives.”
No, Mr./Ms. Loomis, it is constitutionalists acting in according with the doctrine that the Constitution is the supreme law of the land (next to the Bible most dear!) and that cities and towns cannot engage in foreign policy or violate property rights. But I must go on to more victories!
In Bangor, Maine, a proposed rezoning was postponed after objections were raised as to property right issues and Agenda 21:
The City Council unanimously agreed Monday night to postpone a vote for three months on a zone change for the rural western section of the city after it came under criticism both from the council and the public.
Critics said the proposed rural residential zone change would unfairly limit the ability of landowners to use their properties.
Gregory Knight, whose family has run Mid-Knight Auto on Old County Road since 1985, voiced concern whether the rezoning proposal was part of a bigger plan that includes the Gateway 1 planning for Route 1 and Agenda 21, a United Nations plan that he said would take away property rights.
“Why is this being done?” Knight asked.
Knight pointed out that one part of the zoning change for rural residential areas would limit commercial activities on his section of Old County Road to within 200 feet of the road. The family auto business uses property that extends more than 300 feet from the road.
He said efforts such as Smart Growth planning and Agenda 21 usurp property and constitutional rights of landowners.
“This fits into the Smart Growth template that results in a massive reshuffling of property rights,” Knight said.
As usual, the press is ignorant of the issues here.
According to supporters, Agenda 21 is a U.N. resolution that promotes sustainability by urging countries to use fewer resources and to conserve land by steering development in already dense areas. Opponents see it as a conspiracy to deny property rights and push people to live in more urban areas.
Of course, we need to be careful in our words in dealing with public officials and the press. Be kind and gracious as you discuss these issues. But the local reporter should consider researching both the American Policy Center and Democrats Against Agenda 21 sites. Or this blog!
Finally, (whew!), in Mustang, Oklahoma, the City Council rejected the International Building Code as being inspired by Agenda 21!
It started with an informed and concerned councilman, Matt Taylor, who asked some good questions about the origins of the IBC. A local land developer encouraged the city to adopt the codes. But the patriot/sovereignty activists were out in force and they did a nice job of presenting their case:
Mustang resident Juanita Holland said she believed the codes were linked to Agenda 21, which is a nonbinding, voluntarily implemented action plan created by the United Nations regarding sustainable development.
“Councilman Taylor, thanks for letting us have a public hearing on this,” Holland said. “I did a lot of research over the past several days about Agenda 21. You are right, this is mandated by the government, but it is the government taking over our rights and taking our private property. I would hate to see Mustang become one of the cities that lets the United Nations come in and walk all over it. This city council is our local government and we elect you to be our voices, we don’t have the voice you do.”
Yukon resident Danielle Patterson also spoke out against the codes and voiced her displeasure that House Bill 1412 is in danger of not being heard. The bill would prohibit the state from contracting with or exchanging funds with a nongovernmental or intergovernmental organization accredited by the U.N. The House voted 67-17, mostly along party lines, to pass the bill.
“You all are our voice here and our line of defense,” Patterson said. “I would ask that you would stand for our sovereignty, our state and our nation. I wonder, what does an international entity have to do with local plumbers, electricians and construction workers. Are we not our own? We should remain sovereign.”
Jason Timm of Mustang also spoke out against the codes. Timm is the Fourth District committee man for the Republican Party. He also served as a alternate delegate at the Republican National Convention in Florida last summer.
“The fact of the matter is, the national issues don’t get resolved at the national level, they get resolved at the city level,” Timm said. “We are built from the ground up, not from the top down. If you never read this Agenda 21 stuff or studied it, it probably sounds crazy. We are talking about the laundering of ideologies and philosophies. This is a United Nations agenda that they are trying to launder down to us. I didn’t believe it at first, and I have talked to people all over the state and they are completely clueless about Agenda 21. I don’t think they are bad people or evil people, I just think they are lost in this whole maze of organizations.”

“I truly think Mustang needs to find a separate set of codes and reject these ICC codes,” he said. “I agree that we need to have sound building codes, but I beg that you hold this off as long as possible before everyone has had a chance to research some of this stuff. It all sounds like science fiction, but it’s not and you need to reject this so we don’t promote Agenda 21.”
The council apparently agreed and unanimously rejected the IBC. To be fair, I have not researched the issue of the IBC but I am appropriately skeptical of the need for a international building code for the USA! These presentations were informed, respectful and passionate.
So, there is only one thing to do: Keep fighting in a smart, respectful manner and people will respond. Be encouraged! Citizens are becoming more informed every day about the dangers of Agenda 21.

At last some people with balls coming forward. I wondering when we will all realize there are more of us than them. Most of the people on this site are awake but when oh when will the general populace of sheeple wake up ….or is it true the color of twe Kardashian shoes is way more important.
Great news, thanks for letting us know.
I hope that Agenda 21 gets rejected everywhere it slithers it’s insipid tentacles.
Agenda 21 is the Socialist manifesto for creating a one world global Socialist caliphate and ought to be rejected outright by all freedom loving societies everywhere.
We need sustainable societies of course, that is just logical, but we need to create that from the bottom up, never from the top down.
Totally agree DaveB.
Had some govt official ask me to donate 5 acres of my land to wildlife and natural growth. It seems he missed the already 50 acres I already had allotted to that myself.
What left a sour taste in was that the gov would assume all rights and rules for the 5 acres they wanted and I would have no say whatsoever.
No way I would allow that. Give them a little …they take the lot.
The psychos are running the asylum.
Finally, some common sense.
HURRY!!!! People are thinking Again!!! We need to get rid of Agenda 21 and get the hell out of the U.N. I’m for H.R. 75
I can allow myself a raised eyelid at last! Refreshing news to say the least, now all we need is to wake the other 6 billion, a thousand miles starts but with a single step – we must keep on chipping away at societies lust for all things that glitter, they will thank us one day.
