(Before It's News)

Dear Living Well Daily Reader,

Are you tired of feeling tired, heavy and sluggish?

Do you wish you could put your clothes on and feel confident about the way you look in them?

Or ever taken a look in the mirror and realized you’re carrying a spare tire around your waist?

The thing is, you’re not alone.

So many of us have struggled with weight gain…

Fortunately, there’s good news…you may not have to feel that way much longer.

A new groundbreaking study shows that a “banned” berry can help get rid you of your spare tire sadness and forget your clothing catastrophes.

You might be wondering how can a simple berry make me skinny?

Let me explain further…

The berry is from the mulberry tree, and contains a powerful compound called rutin.

Rutin has been the subject of many weight loss studies because it can “activate” brown fat. Unlike white fat, which is stored by the body to later be used as energy (and also makes you gain weight), brown fat’s sole purpose is to keep your body warm.

You see, brown fat is like an internal torch — it burns obesity-causing white fat and makes heat in the body. Because of this, folks who have more brown fat typically carry less excess weight than those who have less brown fat.

Exposure to cold temperature was once thought to be the only way to activate brown fat, but now researchers have discovered that rutin can also kick your brown fat into gear.

To prove this, scientists tested rutin in obese rats.

For this study, researchers from China used both genetically obese mice and mice with diet-induced obesity. Both sets of mice were given supplemental rutin in their drinking water and fed the same diet.

At the end of the experiment, the scientists found that the mice from both groups had increased energy, improved blood sugar and lost weight. This was because the rutin “activated” the mice’s brown fat.

With results like these, researchers believe that rutin could one day play a major role in treating obesity and diseases, like diabetes, that are associated with it.

There’s just one problem… Mulberry is banned in several cities.

Well, in tree form, anyway…

Many cities, like El Paso and Albuquerque, have outlawed the planting of mulberry trees, due to their intense pollen output.

Fortunately, though, you can still legally get your hands on mulberry extract and rutin supplements, regardless of where you live, in natural health stores and through online retailers like Amazon.com. One study suggests 425 mg of rutin daily for weight loss.
