Wade’s opponent is the odious extremist Donald McEachin who has supported every left wing tax and spend legislation that has come up in the State Senate.
Mike’s 17 years as Henrico Sheriff and 41 years in Law Enforcement makes him the obvious choice for Virginia.

The United States is facing a severe mental health crisis, which is having a devastating effect on our communities. Mental health issues affect our economy, our national security, our health care system and our individual rights (like the 2nd Amendment). According to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) one in five adults (43.8 million Americans) will experience mental illness in a given year. Further – one in twenty-five (10 million Americans) will experience a severe mental health issue, which severely hinders their major life activities.
Spending and the Budget
A Henrico County Sheriff we cut our budget by eliminating waste and duplicative spending. Every family, business and local/state government body in Virginia operates by balancing their budgets – and we understand that you can’t spend what you don’t have.
2nd Amendment Rights
I am a strong supporter of 2nd Amendment rights. Our Bill of Rights is not debatable, and it is time we address the real issues instead of trying to curb the rights of law-abiding citizens. We must deal with the issues of mental health and homegrown terrorism so we can prevent future tragedies like the ones we’ve recently experienced. But the answer isn’t to take away the rights of law-abiding citizens – and I will always stand in defense of our 2nd Amendment.
There is no denying that we have a massive problem here in the United States with illegal immigration. Sadly, this is an issue that too many of our elected leaders continue to punt the ball on – leaving the problem to fester with no end in sight. Proposed and current laws often pass the responsibility of dealing with the issue of illegal immigrants who commit crimes down on Sheriff’s offices. Sheriffs and law enforcement professionals don’t have the luxury of punting the ball. We have to deal with the issues and find solutions.
