From the 2nd Amendment to the First State — and most points in between — it’s time for a look back at the week that was. Personal Liberty Digest^® presents: The WIRE!

When President Donald Trump hosted a discussion group at the White House including survivors and family members from the Parkland atrocity, liberals threw an epic tantrum, even accusing the kids in attendance of cowardice.

However, the response of some students was judged sufficiently anti-liberty to earn suggestions from the left that while the age to exercise your 2nd Amendment rights should be raised to 21, the age to vote on them should be lowered to 16.

The Bill of Rights, as interpreted by teenagers who eat laundry detergent. What could possibly go wrong?

CNN Pentagon correspondent Barbara Starr raised a few eyebrows this week when she asked Defense Department spokesperson Dana White “can the Pentagon really continue to stay out of the gun debate in this country, realistically?”

If they don’t, that’s what’s called a “military coup.”

The anti-liberty stormtroopers got what they wanted Wednesday night, when CNN’s Town Hall on Parkland quickly devolved into a gun-grabbing show trial, complete with planted hecklers and scripted questions.

In attendance at CNN’s on-air dumpster fire, Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel, who took a turn in the spotlight to shriek at NRA spokesbadass Dana Loesch. CNN declined to note that Israel’s department missed nearly four dozen chances to intervene with Cruz and even let him slide because he “hugged it out” with a potential victim.

No wonder he tried so hard to keep the spotlight on Loesch.

It gets worse: Sheriff Israel admitted Thursday that the armed school resource officer who was at Stoneman Douglas High School refused to go inside during the massacre. But sure, blame the NRA and demand new laws.

And these are the same guys who will be in charge of enforcing any new laws the anti-gunners get passed.

The left held fast to their opposition to providing armed security to the nation’s schools. Guess the children aren’t as worth protecting as the Democrat elite, who have armed security 24/7.

Who the hell do these kids think they are?

The hysteria spread, with leftist hate groups calling for increasingly violent attacks on not only the NRA, but its membership, and anyone doing business with the nation’s oldest civil rights organization.

Crush dissent, disarm everyone, murder the opposition. And then what, round up the Jews?

Former Mexican President Vicente Fox weighed in — for some reason — on the tragedy, blaming Trump for his “aggressive, violent language.”

Someone remind Señor Helpful here that he was president of freaking Mexico!

Liberals were super-triggered this week when NRA Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre noted the 2nd Amendment, like all civil liberties, are divinely inspired.

Not like the guys who wrote them down mentioned it or anything.

CNN might have been having its worst week ever. The floundering network sent reporters to hunt down and harass an old woman in Florida who had unwittingly been duped by Russian trolls into promoting a Russian-backed event. They were gonna go after Russian dupe Michael Moore, who actually attended one, but he’s got armed security.

Besides, then they’d have to talk to him.

Prominent left-wing hate blog Raw Story this week attributed the demise of disgraced former Senator Al Franken to “White nationalists and Twitter bots.”

In taxpayer-funded witch hunt news: I’m glad Special Counsel Robert Mueller stuffed a dozen or so Russians, but I wonder if all this effort was worth ignoring psychos like Nikolas Cruz.

He spent $68 million to indict 13 Russians over about $50,000 in social media babble? That feels like a “no.”

The Almighty made a comeback this week when Oprah said God told her not to run for president, putting Democrat pundits who mocked Vice President Pence for his Christian faith in kind of a tight spot.

Winfrey’s will be done.

Just because Russia isn’t officially competing at the Pyeongchang Olympics doesn’t mean Russian athletes aren’t still Russian. A member of the Russian curling team was busted for doping.

Authorities knew something was amiss since he’s the only men’s curler who actually looks like an athlete.

A proposed law in Delaware would allow kids as young as five to “choose” their own gender without consulting their parents. In a related story, nearly every high school boy in Delaware announced they “choose” to be female and demanded immediate access to the girl’s locker room.

Can you point me to the ladies’ room? Just need to — um — powder my nose.
