This Is the Next Tactic to Disarm Us

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

Authoritarianism, or criminal government, can never feel free from fear as long as millions of people own guns, hence the long-term effort to disarm us.

Almost all national politicians want Americans completely disarmed, even if few admit it, though they have done all possible to impress upon the public mind that private arms possession for any reason is un-American and not in the “public interest” because guns are “dangerous.” Their debate is twisted nonsense, but people believe it.

The politicians realize that mass forced confiscation will not work. It would result in the deaths of thousands of federal agents, if they could find enough of them to attempt such a thing. Nor have efforts at soft confiscation — requiring self-reporting and voluntary surrender of arms and accessories suddenly deemed illegal — been anything more than marginally successful in recent years.

The truth is, the local sheriffs, rank-and-file police and military members are by-and-large pro-gun, and their families and friends are as well. For the most part, they would be loath to join federal agents in a forced confiscation program, though as we saw in the Katrina aftermath there are mindless drones who will follow confiscation orders without question. But most would likely join citizens in resisting such efforts. The result would be a bloody mess.

So the elites have employed their propaganda machine, to great effect. Vast swaths of ignorant people have swallowed the notion that certain weapons — based only on appearance, form and function — are inherently more dangerous than others. Other anti-gun propaganda is used in pushing for the fix-NCIS bill (which is a bill ostensibly designed to make it a law that government agencies must abide by the law, but which will encourage governments to place people into the system over silly things like unpaid traffic tickets) and for banning people on the “terror watch list” from possessing guns. Both of these laws abuse the notion of due process and would work to unlawfully disarm people based on government error, innuendo and false charges.

The topic of mental illness has jumped front and center in the gun debate in recent days in wake of the Valentine’s Day massacre at Marjory Stoneman Douglas school in Parkland, Florida. Even many well-meaning conservatives have fallen prey to this trap and are advocating for laws to remove guns from people without due process under so-called “red flag” laws. A bill has been introduced to provide federal incentives — i.e., federal dollars — to encourage states to confiscate guns for the most sophistic of reasons. So-called “conservative” lawmakers have signed on.

The NRA — which has fooled millions of people into believing it looks out for their 2nd Amendment rights — has signaled a willingness to support them.

Mental illness is as nebulous and malleable a term as “assault weapon.” Even psychiatrists admit that the classification of mental illness often relies on subjective criteria and that diagnoses for mental health conditions never rely on brain scans and blood tests. Conclusions of mental illness stem from observed behaviors and any behavior that seems outside what is accepted as normal at the moment can later be labeled abnormal — and therefore a mental illness — on a whim.

For several years a push has been underway to label religious adherents as mentally ill. In 2006, biologist Richard Dawkins published his book The God Delusion, in which he characterizes belief in God as delusional. Dawkins cites the definition of a delusion as “a persistent false belief held in the face of strong contradictory evidence, especially as a symptom of a psychiatric disorder.”

In 2013, Kathleen Taylor, a neurologist at Oxford University, said in interviews that recent developments suggest that we will soon be able to treat religious fundamentalism and other forms of ideological beliefs potentially harmful to society as a form of mental illness. She maintains that religious fundamentalism may one day be treatable and that religious people will one day be able to be “cured.”

Taylor admits that the scope of what could end up being labelled “fundamentalist” is expansive. She continued: “I am not just talking about the obvious candidates like radical Islam or some of the more extreme cults. I am talking about things like the belief that it is OK to beat your children. These beliefs are very harmful but are not normally categorized as mental illness. In many ways that could be a very positive thing because there are no doubt beliefs in our society that do a heck of a lot of damage, that really do a lot of harm.”

Last year, the journal Neuropsychologia released a study that purported to show that religious fundamentalists are brain damaged. It claimed its research determined that religious fundamentalism is, in part, the result of a functional impairment in a brain region known as the prefrontal cortex.

There are millions of gun owners in America who consider themselves Christian. Now we have atheists in places of influence and power declaring ad hoc that Christianity is a mental disorder that can and should be cured. The day is soon coming where a person’s Christianity will get him labeled as mentally defective and therefore ineligible to possess weapons.

The gun control problem is a mind control problem. The authorities know full well that they, with all their high-tech weapons, cannot subdue a determined people with private arms. Therefore, they use all manner of spurious persuasion to get you to give up your arms and to exert hostility toward others who won’t. Same old divide and conquer.

Be careful what you wish for.

They will not disarm us. Now let’s get done to business with pedogate and trafficking.

Put pressure on police and government to allow us to interview those that slaughtered all these events of past year. Let’s hear their story with details rather than trust any news or comments here or anywhere. There are a few that survived and maybe we will learn truth? You mention criminals would be the only who have guns? Let speak to them and have them save their bullets for the follow up China N. Korea invasion after being nuked. This is the real reason for gun confiscation you know. Once all the US Patriots and criminal know this, we are better off. Round up gang members and we will give our side of the story. You so called Christians that don’t hear our prophets that this is coming, you are partly to blame or our pending attack.

    • Pink Slime

NRA just playing you. They know if you read the 2nd Amendment it already NEGATES any gun laws! They got in with their buddies, the communist Democrap, so both can keep their “sides” happy to split the pot with eye winks.

NRA stands for Nobody Reads Amendments.

    • hey

Congress needs to be reminded that the SCOTUS already ruled on gun control…so get over it! • The United States Supreme Court ruled in Marbury vs Madison that laws repugnant to the Constitution are automatically null and void. I agree.
      • The United States Supreme Court also ruled in United States vs Miller that the Second Amendment reserves to the people arms equal to those carried by the uniformed government forces, given that the purpose of the Second Amendment is not hunting or target shooting but arming the people against the rise of tyranny.

      • Pateriot

The Supreme Court has reversed itself many times over the years. It will simply take another reversal (albeit unconstitutional) to totally gut the 2nd amendment. Don’t let a ruling confuse the clear language of the Constitution (“this right shall not be infringed”).

Kathleen Taylor. Where do we get these people? I swear we are growing them out of the sewer.

    • Tedx

One thing to remember about the NRA: They serve gun manufacturers, not gun owners. So, if legislation limits pistol magazines to 10 rounds, new pistols will will need to be manufactured and sold to gun owners who must replace their pistols to remain legal. If rifle magazines can not exceed 5 or 10 rounds, new rifles will need to be engineered, manufactured and sold that only accept special magazines with those limits.

Notice how the NRA never challenged the many hoax shootings that were staged to turn public opinion against the 2nd Amendment. They never challenged the hoax shootings because the productions resulted in greater gun sales. Nothing increases gun sales more than the fear that the government people are going to register and confiscate guns.

Just say NO, and be willing to back it up.

“Almost all national politicians want Americans completely disarmed, even if few admit it”

      That is called a strawman.

No gun control is not a mind control problem. Look at Finland and Switserla, Better gun control laws, Better mental health access and Less Mass shootings.

      • DISPENSER

I would point out their climate was not conducive to growing cotton.

    • Rockledge

Sadly, the gun lobbyist aim their evil at the shallow end of the gene pool.

The average IQ in this country is such that guns are something citizens should not have.

Sadly, it is too late to take them, and we have reached the point where people need guns for detente’ because we have become the most gun violent country on the planet.

The whole “take it from my cold dead hands well armed militia” crowd are full of shit.
If they had any intention of being armed against a hostile government, we would not have millions of invaders in this country.
They would have taken action years ago.
It is quite obvious the whole gun lobby is for the benefit of beer drinking hillbillies who are entertained by having artificial power in their hands as a form of self amusement.

The entire gun fascination is about money and stupidity.

The truly ironic fact is that the gun makers are going out of business because they have oversaturated the market to the point where men are buying used guns instead of new ones.

      Case in point: Remington.

      • DISPENSER

.There are 30,000 gun related deaths per year by firearms, and this number is not disputed. U.S. population 324,059,091 as of Wednesday, June 22, 2016. Do the math: 0.000000925% of the population dies from gun-related actions each year. Statistically speaking, this is insignificant! What is never told, however, is a breakdown of those 30,000 deaths, to put them in perspective as compared to other causes of death:

        • 65% of those deaths are by suicide which would never be prevented by gun laws • 15% are by law enforcement in the line of duty and justified • 17% are through criminal activity, gang and drug-related or mentally ill persons – gun violence • 3% are accidental discharge deaths

So technically, “gun violence” is not 30,000 annually, but drops to 5,100. Still too many? Well, first, how are those deaths spanned across the nation? • 480 homicides (9.4%) were in Chicago • 344 homicides (6.7%) were in Baltimore • 333 homicides (6.5%) were in Detroit • 119 homicides (2.3%) were in Washington D.C. (a 54% increase over prior years)

So basically, 25% of all gun crime happens in just 4 cities. All 4 of those cities have strict gun laws, so it is not the lack of law that is the root cause.

This basically leaves 3,825 for the entire rest of the nation, or about 75 deaths per state. That is an average because some States have much higher rates than others. For example, California had 1,169 and Alabama had 1.

Now, who has the strictest gun laws by far? California, of course, but understand, so it is not guns causing this. It is a crime rate spawned by the number of criminal persons residing in those cities and states. So if all cities and states are not created equally, then there must be something other than the tool causing the gun deaths.

Are 5,100 deaths per year horrific? How about in comparison to other deaths? All death is sad and especially so when it is in the commission of a crime but that is the nature of crime. Robbery, death, and sexual assault are all done by criminals and thinking that criminals will obey laws is ludicrous. That’s why they are criminals.

But what about other deaths each year? • 40,000+ die from a drug overdose–Where’s the excuse for that? • 36,000 people die per year from the flu, far exceeding the criminal gun deaths • 34,000 people die per year in traffic fatalities(exceeding gun deaths even if you include suicide)

Now it gets good: • 200,000+ people die each year (and growing) from preventable medical errors. You are safer in Chicago than when you are in a hospital!

        • 710,000 people die per year from heart disease. It’s time to stop the double cheeseburgers! So what is the point? If Obama and the anti-gun movement focused their attention on heart disease, even a 10% decrease in cardiac deaths would save twice the number of lives annually of all gun-related deaths (including suicide, law enforcement, etc.). A 10% reduction in medical errors would be 66% of the total gun deaths or 4 times the number of criminal homicides……Simple, easily preventable 10% reductions!

So you have to ask yourself, in the grand scheme of things, why the focus on guns? It’s pretty simple.: Taking away guns gives control to governments.

The founders of this nation knew that regardless of the form of government, those in power may become corrupt and seek to rule as the British did by trying to disarm the populace of the colonies. It is not difficult to understand that a disarmed populace is a controlled populace.

Thus, the second amendment was proudly and boldly included in the U.S. Constitution.

So the next time someone tries to tell you that gun control is about saving lives, look at these facts and remember these words from Noah Webster: “Before a standing army can rule, the people must be disarmed, as they are in almost every kingdom in Europe. The supreme power in America cannot enforce unjust laws by the sword, because the whole body of the people are armed and constitute a force superior to any band of regular troops that can be, on any pretense, raised in the United States. A military force at the command of Congress can execute no laws, but such as the people perceive to be just and constitutional; for they will possess the power.”

Remember, when it comes to “gun control,” the important word is “control,” not “gun.”

    • Rockledge

Another factor about gun control that everyone on both sides of the issue seem to ignore is the fact that
having unlimited access to guns also puts them in the hands of the millions of enemies that are in this country illegally.

Want a law that prohibits sales of guns to illegals? Well now, what would that be called?
I am thinking that is “gun control”.
Want a law that makes a gun traceable so that if some ghetto rat drives past your house and blows your kid away you can find out who he is? Once again, “gun control”.

Police use gun control laws to their advantage. If they pull over a known ghetto rat criminal that they know has been terrorizing the neighborhood and they find an unregistered gun on his ass, that is just cause to lock him up.

The republican party has been owned and operated by the corporations since Lincoln. When the corporations decide to take your guns, the republican party will be the tool they use.
Of course they will blame “those damn liberals” like they always do.

When people realize this is not a republican or a democrat issue and start using common sense, perhaps they have a stand against the government.
Until then , those on both sides of the issue are just rubes. Pawns.
