Venice, Italy has become everyone’s dream to travel with their loved ones for their honeymoon vacations. Venice is highly visited by tourists more than the locals because of the characteristics as the romantic getaways for couples to shop, dine and ride on gondolas.

Venice is a very crowded place in the day but it becomes a “ghost” town in the evening. Accommodation is very pricey in Venice thus, you can consider staying outside the popular landmark of St Mark Square. Transportation is not the major problem as you can ride on water buses or water taxis to St Mark Square.

Searching for food isn’t a major problem in Venice. There are many fine dinning restaurants but most of them are relatively costly. If you are looking for cheap spaghetti, pizza and other kinds of food to fulfill your stomach then, you should visit Al Ponte Di Rialto Self Service Restaurant located along Grand Canal, before reaching Rialto Bridge.

Riding on a gondola is the main activity to do in Venice. However, you must be alert while negotiating the price and length of the ride as the gondola ride can take up to 6 customers per ride. There are many “illegal” gondoliers and some of them work in a team to search for customers for gondola rides. It’s advisable to search for gondoliers and negotiate for best rates at Grand Canal near Rialto Bridge.
