Lunch at Hotel Naman Alwar Rajasthan

Few dining options exists for Alwar tourists beyond hidden local dhabas which are nearly impossible to find along the city’s chaotic narrow streets. As Alwar’s tourism base grows, so too have the more favorable outlets such as Hotel Naman, a sleek newer property built on the outskirts of town away from the frustrating maze of traffic snarls.

The hotel’s clean yet sterile ambiance restaurant sits right off the lobby offering easy views of the guarded parking lot below. A well stocked vegetarian menu tows the line of offering anything out of the ordinary while ensuring the most basic of Indian food can be easily ordered either by first time tourists or picky eaters. Quick service means even the tightest timetables can be accommodated. No sooner had I sat down, ordered and returned from exceptionally clean western toilets than to find my food was already waiting. Aloo Dum Jodhpuri served steaming hot with perfectly prepared tawa roti. Delicious and filling.

Pricing is well in line for Alwar’s remote region of Rajasthan. Add a sweet lassi for protein and my total bill came to just Rs 263.
