Hurricane Sandy Relief Work: Sandy Hook Cleanup (National Day of Service – Community Resilience)

Sandy Hook Beach is a centerpiece of our the shore community, but after Hurricane Sandy it needs some help recovering from the damage the storm brought. For the first time since the storm has hit, we will be sending volunteers in to help revive the community. Join your neighbors, For the Shore, and the National Parks Service on the National Day of Service to help us clean up debris in the marshes and beaches along Sandy Hook Bay.

Join your neighbors and Americans across the nation by taking action on Saturday, January 19 to answer President Obama’s call for community service. Be part of this years inaugural celebration by helping us right here in our community!  Sandy Hook, NJ is one of the most popular State parks and is known for it’s 7 miles of unique beaches including the word famous Gunnison Beach Sandy Hook NJ.   Please come help the relief efforts.  Only those people that register can enter the island to participate.  Anyone showing up that has not registered at the above link will be turned away.
