Princess Cruises has teamed up with Discovery Communications to give travelers a whole new cruise experience. What this means is that passengers will get to experience a whole host of activities that will feature some of Discovery’s hit shows like Animal Planet and Ghosthunters. Here’s a little bit of information about this exciting new offering.

Discovery Activities For Children and Teens
Young travelers will get to participate in several hands-on activities that are inspired by the popular TV show Mythbusters. They can also do some Gold Rush type activities where they will get to pan for gold. In addition to this there will be activities that involve the show Animal Planet as well as interactive type activities that will utilize the Discovery Green Screen Experience.

Baking With TLC
Baking shows are quite popular on TLC. Travelers can feel as if they are on their very own cooking show thanks to Baking With TLC. Both adults and kids can interact with some of the best pastry chefs in the world while they create their very own masterpiece. This activity is suitable for the entire family.

Shark Week At Sea
The popular Shark Week on Discovery Network is being brought to Princess Cruises. Travelers can be a part of themed games and activities. There are also excursions available where travelers can not only touch a shark, but swim with several of them as well. These excursions are currently available in Australia, the Caribbean, Mexico, Hawaii and Tahiti.

Discovery Under The Stars
Travelers will get to experience the galaxy in a whole new way when they take part in this stargazing experience. Discovery Under The Stars will introduce participants to the Milky Way, comets and meteors while listening to folklore about each one. It’s a great learning experience for the whole family.

Discovery Channel and Animal Planet Shore Excursion
Travelers will have the chance to experience various different shore excursions throughout their cruise. Some of these excursions include a Gold Rush tour, Animal Planet Tours or Discovery Science Channel’s, How It’s Made tours where they will get to go to various locations such as a vineyard or distillery.

Most of these exciting excursions and activities won’t be available onboard Princess cruise ships until the end of 2015.
