Polish Castle Will Be Hosting Real-Life Hogwarts Session In April

If you are a huge Harry Potter fan, here’s an opportunity of a lifetime. A real-life Hogwart’s experience will come to life at a Polish castle for a few weeks in April. The company Liveform and Rollespilsfabrikken will be putting this role playing event together. So you can stop waiting for your acceptance letter to Hogwart’s, here’s your invitation and what you need to know about the event.

The School
Approximately 180 individuals will have the opportunity to play the part of a student, creature, ghost or staff member found in the Harry Potter series. They will get to wear a robe or costume related to their character and cast spells during this four day event. Participants can take classes like the Defense Against the Dark Arts, mix potions, attend the magical ball or even play a game of Quidditch (sorry, no actual flying is involved!). Those who are attendance can pretty much participate in just about anything they want, but they are expected to be on their best behavior just as they would if they were in a real school. Those who play the roles of professors will be expected to give lectures and the groundskeepers and janitors will run the school and oversee the students.

Highlights
The most popular attraction is the “playground”. Here, participants can walk through the dark hallways, visit the room of mirrors, trudge up to the tower or get lost in a hidden passage. Other highlights include broomstick practice and exploring the woods and the creatures that are located outside of the castle.

Details
Each session costs about $345 to attend. This is a real steal as lodging and food are included for all four days. The session dates are April 9-12 and April 16-19 and registration opened up at the beginning of December.

While this event won’t allow participants to actually be able to fly around or perform real magical tricks, it will still be fun to play make believe so to speak. This is about the closest thing you will get actually being able to go to Hogwarts and having your favorite part of one of the Harry Potter books come to life.
