The Trinity, a 100 foot, retired energy industry supply vessel has a beam of 30 feet, and her wheelhouse stands 35 feet above her keel. She was sunk between two reefs off the south point of Batteaux Bay in about 75 feet of water. This wreck is an ideal dive site for intermediate and advanced divers who will now be able to experience the vast aquatic life, reefs and underwater world, before exploring the newly sunken wreck. The wreck is an artificial reef that will contribute to the natural ecosystem of Tobago.

Speyside, Tobago is home to the world’s largest brain coral and is considered among the world’s top dive destinations. The Trinity was given as gift to the people of Tobago to be used as a new attraction for dive enthusiasts by Blue Waters Inn, an intimate boutique hotel catering to family, dive and bird watching enthusiasts, and winner of a Tripadvisor Certificate of Excellence award for four consecutive years. Blue Waters Inn is home to Blue Waters Dive’N, their onsite PADI five star facility, whose team coordinated the sinking of the wreck.

“The sinking of the Trinity is a true source of pride for the entire team at Blue Waters Dive ‘N. The entire team worked for over four years with all the key stakeholders, including the Tobago House Of Assembly, Association of Tobago Dive operators and our sister company Tucker Energy Services, to ensure that all necessary regulatory approvals were met and that the wreck would create an artificial reef for the ever growing wreck dive market. We know that by placing wrecks in strategic locations it can also reduce the stress on local reefs by giving divers more options” said Vicki Lott, Director of Blue Waters Inn and Blue Dive’N. Vicki thanked her entire team at Blue Waters many of whom have been with the company for 20 years.
