costa-rica-find-adventureA guided family vacation to Costa Rica may be just what you are looking for if your family is seeking an adventure. This destination offers a rugged nature experience and is very visitor friendly. There are several great family friendly places to visit in Costa Rica.

Braulio Carrillo National Park
Not many people can say that they’ve had an opportunity to see a rain forest. At the Braulio Carrillo National Park visitors can see the rainforest via a gondola that climbs up a small mountain. The area is also a great place for families to take day hikes and catch an up close glimpse of the various flora and fauna. Don’t forget to bring your camera so you can snap a picture of the deer, monkeys and tapirs that can often be seen roaming around.

Costa Rican Beaches
You haven’t experienced Costa Rica until you’ve been to the beach. There are over 900 miles of beaches throughout the island. Playa Grande is one of the most beautiful beaches in Costa Rica. It offers visitors the chance to go tubing, jet skiing or to snorkel with Sea Turtles. If you are looking for a beach with a lively town to go with it, then Santa Teresa is it. You can rent an ATV or a bicycle to get around the area. There are many activities available for families including a horseback ride on the beach, a paddleboard lesson from an expert and plenty of open beach to just hang out with the kids, relax and build a sandcastle.

Manuel Antonio National Park
The Manuel Antonio National Park is pretty unique because it backs right up to the beach. This is a great area to take a tour as there are a lot of different things to do. There are adventure tours that include things like zip lining over the jungle, leisure tours where you can explore the area with a kayak or mangrove safari tours where you and your family can go out on a boat and get an up close and personal view of some of the wildlife at Manuel Antonio National Park.

A vacation to Costa Rica is best suited for families that are adventure seekers. A guided vacation will allow your family to see things that they normally wouldn’t have even thought of. Costa Rica is filled with a variety of animal encounters, thrill seeking activities and many opportunities to just enjoy being with your family. If you are thinking about going to Costa Rica, let us help you plan this unforgettable family vacation.
