How many times have you been on vacation and played a game of mini golf? If you have kids, there’s a good chance that you’ve been to one of these putt putt courses before. The saying that if you’ve seen one mini golf course you’ve seen them all is simply not true as some of them really try to outdo themselves. Here are some of the most interesting mini golf courses around the U.S.

Peter Pan Mini Golf Course, Texas

Located in Austin, this course combines both Peter Pan and dinosaurs. It’s been open since 1946 and attracts visitors from near and far who are looking to see a variety of their favorite icons in one spot. Don’t be fooled however, because this course can be difficult to play with a variety of obstacles along the way.

Smugglers Cove Adventure Golf, Florida

The state of Florida has a lot of alligators. Because of this, it’s fairly fitting that this golf course, located in Madeira Beach, features live alligators. Golfers can also go through caves, see waterfalls and explore pirate ships.

Mini Golf Fairbanks, Alaska

This is the U.S.’s northernmost mini golf course. The views are rather unique. What sets this course apart though is that a piece of the Trans-Alaska Pipeline is used as part of the 18th hole.

Par-King Skill Golf, Illinois

This facility refers to itself as the most unusual golf course in the world. Located in Lincolnshire, it features not one, but two 18-hole golf courses. There are 7 different water holes that are particularly difficult to navigate, along with 19 moving obstacles.

Maggie’s Jungle Golf, Kentucky

Located in Gilbertsville, this golf course opened back in 1989. There is a unique jungle theme throughout the course. What makes it interesting though isn’t really the golf, but the 35 different peacocks that like to walk around the course and show off.

Kimball Farm, Massachusetts

Looking for a challenge? Head over to this mini golf course in Westford. Participants will have to go over rope swing bridges at this course. There are also waterfalls where they will have to dodge the mist, unless they want to get wet that is!

Riverwalk Mini Golf, Delaware

Located alongside of the Christina River, this 18 hole mini golf course in Wilmington is challenging. It was designed by some of the most prestigious mini golf architects in the United States. One of the most interesting features is the 9 birdhouses along the course.

Prehistoric Putt, Nebraska

Located in Omaha, there are two 18-hole, indoor mini golf courses here. The course features walls that are warped and a variety of obstacles that are custom-made. The real draw to this course is the massive dinosaurs.

KISS By Monster Mini Golf, Nevada

Calling all Kiss Fans! This mini golf course, located in Las Vegas, features KISS videos and memorabilia throughout the course. In this glow in the dark, 18-hole course, you will feel surrounded by the legendary rock band while you try to get the ball in the hole.
