How to Avoid Spoilers for Endgame

As with every popular movie and tv show, somehow spoilers find their way online prior to the release date. I don’t know about you, but I haven’t invested years of reading comics and watching all of the Marvel films, to have it ruined prior to the actual release date.

If you can, the easy solution is to avoid all internet & social media until April 26, 2019.  If that is not possible for you, then here are some tips and tricks to avoid running into the leaks.

1) Adjust your settings on social media
On Twitter and Facebook, disable videos from auto-playing.  You can also close your direct message options as well.  More specifically for Twitter, you can block words, also known as muted words.  Go in and block Avengers, Endgame, leak, spoilers at the very least.  If you want to take it a step further, then add in Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Black Panther, Thanos and all of the main stream characters so there is no chance of running into any information.

2) Use a Browser extension
With the same premise as your Twitter and Facebook settings, you can use extensions such as Unspoiler for Chrome. Use the same key word phrases and it will automatically avoid the terms you tell it to track.

3) Don’t underestimate browsers and their extensions…
Take Chrome and its Unspoiler extension for example; the extension (once activated) blocks any and all keywords you deem sensitive and places a BIG spoiler shield right front & center! And on the topic of Chrome, why not disable those images? If we’re talking only five (5) episodes, the last thing you want to see is the image of one of the major players skewed, stabbed, turned, roasted or eaten, right? So do, what you gotta do… Disable them images!!

4) AVOID the Comment Sections!! I get it…
You want to catch the next Pokémon: Detective Pikachu trailer, but have you ever heard trolls? They’re out there and they’re constantly posting, so wait a few weeks! Is it not worth it? Oh and speaking of trolls, stay the heck away from Redditt, dude! Everyone and their cousin will be posting their thoughts on who will A). DIE and/or B). Sit their butt on the Iron Throne!
