Obama super PAC donor Bill Maher’s opinion remains uncensored

President Barack Obama’s White House has, however, asked Google and YouTube to remove the anti-Muslim film allegedly produced by Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, aka “Sam Bacile,” which has been accused of inciting violence in the Middle East. Besides having video censored on YouTube by Lions Gate Entertainment, Maher’s views on Islam have not been censored.

John Nolte of Big Hollywood and Breitbart.com noted in a statement to The Washington Times that, in the eyes of Obama and his team, “some anti-Islamic filmmakers are more equal than others.”

Bill Maher has appeared in several interviews sharply criticizing the Islamic faith — especially in its relationship to Christianity and the West.

“Our culture isn’t just different than one that makes death threats to cartoonists — it’s better,” Maher said on HBO Real Time in 2011, addressing the Islamic radicals who made threats against the creators of “South Park” in February.

Maher is an outspoken atheist of Jewish descent, and he mocks all forms of religion.

“When it comes to scary-ass religions, extremist Muslims are like Godzilla,” Maher said in 2011. “Muslims take their religion way too seriously, whereas [Western religion] has the good sense to blow it off.”

“People want to gloss over the difference between Western culture and forget about the fact that the Islamic culture is 600 years younger,” Maher said in an interview with Anderson Cooper. “Civilized people don’t threaten each other — we sue each other.”
