Pacifists and Dissenters

Pacifists

Show Pity and Compassion.  Regarding those very few, specific Arab-Muslim-Islamist (AMI) Islamo-fascists (Isfasts) who laughed at our seven astronauts tragically killed in the 2003 Space Shuttle Columbia mishap, you must remember this: While we are thinking about the future of Mankind, all they are thinking about is their next meal and what American and/or Israeli they can kill next.  Instead of anger and hatred towards them, we must show pity and compassion for them and their distorted paradigm of life.

Weapons.  A good friend phrased it this way: Do not attack the country that invented the weapons you use, i.e., the airplane, machine gun, rifle, barbed wire, submarine, A-bomb, H-bomb, aircraft carrier, and steel-hulled ships.

More Weapons.  To these, I added the following: guided bomb units (GBUs); cluster bombs; guided missiles; unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs); intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs); intermediate range ballistic missiles (IRBMs); U-2; navigation, surveillance, and communications satellites; and battle management, command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, reconnaissance, and surveillance (BMC4IRS).  Additionally, I included precision-guided munitions (PGMs), daisy cutters, attack helicopters, Gatling guns, main battle tanks (MBTs), stinger missiles, sidewinder missiles, night vision, bullet-proof vests, robotics, infrared (IR) sensors, defoliation bombs, stealth bombers/fighters, napalm, airborne warning and control system (AWACS), land mines, sea mines, radar, sonar, decoys, cruise missiles, sniper scopes, M-14 rifles, and bunker busters among others.  This is not to mention upcoming laser weapons; smart bullets; artificial intelligence (AI); neutron bombs; and chemical, biological, nuclear, and radiological (CBNR) weapons.  Pity and compassion follow all of the above.

More Technology.  To which he retorted with the telephone, telegraph, internet, personal computer, liquid crystal display (LCD), vacuum tube, transponder, television (TV) tower, rotary bit, stealth, space transportation system (STS), global positioning system (GPS), Spam, meal, ready-to-eat (MRE), daylight bombing, television, network, microfilm, microfiche, zip files, and graphical user interface (GUI).

Warmonger or Pacifism?  I would rather people accuse me of being a warmonger than a pacifist who would give away or surrender our country and our freedoms.  The rest of us would be in bondage, while those pacifists would bow down to the enemy and do their bidding as their “hey boys.”  To pacifists, living under bondage is better than death.  I totally disagree with what they want to see happen to us.  I concur with Nathan Hale who said, “I only regret that I have but one life to lose for my country.”  I also agree with Patrick Henry who said, “I know not what course others may take, but as for me, give me liberty or give me death.”

Pacifists Always Jump to Wrong Conclusions.  A friend wrote claiming he was a pacifist.  He gave his defensive reasons why I was wrong in what I had written.  I wrote the following back to him:

Thank you for your thought-provoking reply.  Please note, however, that I had written “those very few, specific AMIs who laughed,” which do not include all AMIs.  You can probably count those AMIs on the fingers of two hands.  Thus, you, your friends, and any of the AMI people you mentioned are not included in my statement.  I was referring only to those very few, specific people who laughed and reveled after the Space Shuttle Columbia disaster.

My comment has nothing to do with being anti-Arab.  It has everything to do with those people who lack any kind of decency and respect for the dead.  Those people in question showed disrespect because they hate Americans and Jews alike.  I do not hate all AMIs for what they did/said.  I only suggested displaying pity and compassion (good emotions) instead of anger and hatred (bad emotions).

If you think that my message intended more than that, please accept my apologies.  My intent was to make things better.  Although I am neither a pacifist nor a warmonger, as a United States Air Force (USAF) veteran, I am for defending our freedoms and our way of life.

In his reply, he totally ignored responding to my response above.

Patriots will continue to keep Our Country Safe.  By defending our freedoms, liberty, and Bill of Rights, we also defend the rights of pacifist (as nauseating as it seems) to tear down our great country.  The day we find the pacifists muzzled or dead, we will then be in deep trouble as a free country because our enemies will have overtaken us.  Therefore, let pacifists spout off their vitriolic accusations and poison.  We patriots will quietly go on with our vigilance and in maintaining everyone’s freedoms and liberty.

Sidebar.  Is it not strange that picketing pacifists who profess a desire for peace often revert to violence and riots to achieve that desired peaceful condition?  They are anti-war, yet they use warring tactics to achieve their ends.  What’s wrong with that picture anyway?”

Dissenters

Live and Let Live.  I believe in the principle of “live and let live.”  If we keep political discussions to facts, objectivity, logic, reason, and unemotional dialogue, then we will not have any problems.  As long as they do not try to kill, maim, or ruin me, we have no problems no matter how vehemently we may disagree politically.

Fight to the Death to Protect Dissenters’ Rights.  I may wholeheartedly disagree politically with someone, e.g., extreme secular progressives, left-wing Democrats, Hollywood, college professorial elite, pacifists, tree huggers, environmentalists (Green Peace, Sierra Club), PETA, atheists, ACLU, NAACP, unionists, communists, fascists, Nazis, socialists, Satanists, and KKK.  However, I will fight to the death to protect their rights to picket, dissent, oppose, and disagree with any of my strong core beliefs, values, philosophies, and ideologies. However, once they become physically violent, all bets are off.

Totalitarian State.  If we should ever find no pickets, dissenters, and those who oppose and disagree, then it will be too late.  By that time, we will be under a dictatorship, under oppression, and under a totalitarian state.  A perfect example is Saddam Hussein’s Iraq.  In Iraq, there were no visible picketers, dissenters, and opponents of the government.  What a serene country that appeared to be.  That condition prevailed only because it was under a dictatorship.  The oppressed people lived in fear.  A totalitarian state prevailed.

Only Peaceable Assembly Acceptable.  As long as picketers, dissenters, and opponents maintain peaceful activities, I have no problems with them.  However, if they get physical and start hurting people and destroying property, then, I will become a bit upset and will physically oppose them.  Our Constitution gives them the right to assemble peaceably and to oppose verbally.  However, it does not give them the right to kill, maim, and destroy people and property.  That is where I stand on this issue.

Values Held Dear.  I believe in peace through strength.  I concur with what President Theodore Roosevelt said, “Speak softly and carrying a big stick.”  I believe in being firm but fair.  I believe in live and let live.  I believe in being truthful, honest, faithful, and benevolent.  I hold these values dear to my heart.

More on Dissenters

Mutual Respect Needed.  Ours being a free country, anyone can choose to say or write what they please as well as what I write here.  Everyone is entitled to his or her own opinions.  I respect dissenters’ opinions just as I respect our U.S. president’s opinions.  I hope that dissenters and others of their ilk can display mutual respect.

Silencing Dissenters.  The only thing that silenced naysayers about leaving Germany alone before both World War I and World War II started was when Germany grew very strong and actually attacked and conquered surrounding countries.  This is the only way to silence dissenters.  However, we are in a different world today.  War is much quicker and more devastating.  We do not have the luxury of time to play catch-up as we did in World War I and World War II.

Weapons of Mass Destruction.  When nuclear mushroom clouds appear over our large cities and millions die from poison gas and deadly diseases, maybe, then and only then, will dissenters understand what former President George Bush talked about regarding weapons of mass destruction (WMD)?

Paradigm Shift Required.  We need to “think outside of the box” and initiate a “paradigm shift” on how we view and defend against present-day totalitarian governments, dictators, and Isfasts bent on destroying the United States.  Strategies such as “first strike,” “offensive warfare,” and “tactical nuclear attacks” may be required in certain circumstances to defend the peace and liberty of all of these dissenters so that they can continue with their vitriolic speech.

Controlling Dictators.  What people do not understand is that if we did not have so many dissenters, naysayers, and those who are tearing down our country (which, to me, borders on treason), Osama bin Laden and al-Qaida would not be motivated to continue on the path they are taking.  If freedom-loving countries banded together to fight these dictators and terrorists, these people would be much easier controlled, contained, and neutralized.

Dictating American Foreign Policy.  In the past, all anti-war activists, pacifists, and the “blame-America-first crowd” never protect our country from attack and conquer.  I, for one, will never allow weaklings like the French and previous aggressors like the Germans to dictate American foreign policy.  We need to guard against those who surrender easily and those who purposefully kill innocent people.  America has never been like these countries.

Display Vigilance.  We need to display vigilance against those who make us weak and susceptible to the buffetings of the bullies of the world.  I believe in the United States of America.  I do not tear her down.  I work to build her up in the face of our enemies both foreign and domestic.  The enemies from within are much more dangerous than the enemies from without.  When they destroy the proper functioning of our inner organs, there will be no way for the body to function properly.

Constitution Currently Hangs by a Thread.  I will fight to the death to protect their rights to picket, demonstrate, oppose, tear down, burn our flag, tell their lies, and attempt to destroy us from within.  However, I will not tolerate it when they revert to violence, vandalism, and killing of our own to achieve their supposedly peaceful ends.  The great United States of America will endure and overcome these weak cowards.  Our Constitution currently is at the point of hanging by a thread.  Therefore, patriots must be vigilant and willing to fight these enemies from within.  The patriots will ultimately save our Country.
