How Korean War Might Play Out (Video)

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

Me I see a massive artillery bombardment by North korea on South Korean cities killing thousands and turning cities into rubble followed by a massive ground attack on the DMZ and NK Special Forces making amphibious landings all along the coast.   I also see a massive US counterattack.  Bombings mostly.  The 28,000 US troops in South Korea will have all it can take just to defend itself there let alone counterattacking.  While all this is going on, China will continue to mass on their North Korean border. -Mort

By the way, the 38 parallel is not the border between North and South Korea, and it would take weeks before the US could launch a counter strike. By that time All of the north of South Korea would be in North Korea’s control. Other than this, the analysis is reasonable.

Are they forecasting a football game? Looks like it!

if we ain’t at war, we talking about war. I guess we’ll be satisfied when every living soul on this planet is dead. Then we’ll peace……..and quiet.

The entire concept of nuclear war makes no sense.
Who is China’s best customer? Who feeds China? China is fed by the people that buy their goods.
Radiation is at the mercy of the winds. If they go west, we get it.
If they go East, China gets it.
If they go North, Russia gets it.
The most uneconomical power source on the planet is nuclear. The waste materials have to be contained for a very long time. Our local power company took quite a financial bath in their attempt to use a Nuclear power plant. So that doesn’t make much sense either.
So China is going to let North Korea go to war with us? If you blow up your best customer what do you gain? I think I would answer those questions first before allowing this to get out of hand.

      • Politically Incorrect

Hey Dave, point taken, but there are limited nuclear weapons that affect only a small area or circumference of the strike zones, as N. Korea has hinted. As a customer (referring to NK), N. Korea buys are just pennies in China’s coffers compared to the rest of the world as you mentioned, like us. China could have replaced the regime if they had wanted to, and nobody would have objected. China’s position is quiet clear.

What would China gain? Quiet a bit if they want to go on the move. The PRC along with Russia have been jointly building their military tremendously and their talking. It isn’t about or for farming, that’s for sure. The question would be, how, when and for who do they plan to use it on, because these super powers at this point in time don’t like to use or pour their monies and resources into that realm just for show.

LMAO….if the USA decided to use neutron bombs on NK.
Sure…., we supposedly got rid of them all. Heh.

        • Politically Incorrect

Hey Patriot, perhaps… if you have tunnel vision. But, I wouldn’t be LMAO so quickly. China is not our ally, it’s NK’s military ally. Just like were SK’s ally. If the US retaliates for SK, so you’re saying China will not do the same for NK? So the PRC’s troop movement and buildup along the NK border is just for show and to keep NK refugees out?

Don’t be surprised if a large quantity of fuel-air bombs are used to obliterate the 20,000 embedded artillery gun emplacements. We also could use some localized EMP weapons to disrupt their electronics and communications. They do, after all, have some advanced weaponry.

DPRK has the ability to launch 2,000,000 artillery and missile rounds into S Korea within the first 24 hours. It’ll be a mess.

That said, this is not the invasion season which usually is August (when the rice paddies are dry) or January (when they’re frozen). Even the rivers should be up this time of year and would make troop movement difficult.

      • Patriot

Localized EMP weapons could do a lot against NK communications, vehicles, & possibly rockets & launching systems. Also, the USA has modern tech like specialty weapons — noise-based weaponry that could make NK soldiers drop to their knees & start simply puking, holding their ears & screaming.

Don’t be surprised if there’s a whole lot of blustering and hot air exchanged, then America announcing a huge aid deal for North Korea in exchange for more empty promises from ladyboy Kim.
Appeasement of another totalitarian regime would be easier and cheaper, therefore being a more likely resolution in this situation, after all there are not enough natural resources in North Korea to make it worth for America to commit its military.

    • randydutton

Ithamar – you’re very incorrect. We could start carpet bombing the DMZ in 24 hours with B-52s and B-1s. We can take out their ports and most of their ships with cruise missiles. We can shoot down most of their aircraft within the first two days. We also have prototype aerial directional EMP drones.

South Korea has a formidable army that would block DPRK troop movement more than a few dozen miles, and that’s if it’s the invasion season.

    • Politically Incorrect

It’s rather a simple explanation of a strike scenerio. N. Korea would have gone through hundreds of simulations and possible ways to contermeasure the retaliation. They’ve hinted on first strike, that would be most likely be simultaneously on prime targets and as well as the areas where US forces would strike from.

What NK discussed behind closed doors with other nations hostile to US presense for example the Middle East, is another unseen side to their threats, the dark side of the moon persay. This also has to be on the table as a possible scenario that N. Korea may not be alone in this, as we look at Syria and Iran, Lybia, Afhanistan, Iraq, the Russian presense in Syria, Israel and Iran and the Palestineans, Egypt’s crosshairs patiently aimed at Israel, and throw the US in the mix. Hypothetical speaking, this could be a joint operation with N. Korea as the trigger that initiates the attack simultaneously in both parts of the world, acheiving the objective of spreading and thinning out US forces, and scrambling it’s priorities.

One of the concerns should be the hundreds of suitcase size nuclear weapons that have gone missing from the former Soviet Union. One would have to assume that N. Korea was one of the buyers, thereby having the capability to strike anywhere in the world without a delivery system. This would somewhat back up their statements with some credibility that small but sophisticated nuclear strikes are an option that they have and will use. If some fo the hostile Middle East countries have some of these suitcase sized weapons, we can only speculate.

If all these mentioned, which are just a few of many possibilities, were to take place, the result would be devastating.

Americans ,keep you bloody noses out . you have already caused enough problems in the east,

NK will fall with hardly a shot fired. Western goods and people will flow in overnite and turn it quickly into a burgeoning democracy.

The same thing will happen shortly to Cuba when Adele, er Fidel dies, which will be soon enough.

      • redmarkoz

The socialist ideal will not falter with fidels passing,in fact it will be more likely to spread even further into America.
The failure of capitalism in the states is manifest, shortcomings in the unregulated free market economy have already led your government into adopting fundamental socialist policy such as the nationalisation of your banking institutions and mortgage debt during the financial crisis. If your government owns their debt then they by definition the people own the banks, which is a fine socialist ideal.

    • Patriot

I might think….decimate NK command & control centers immediately, as well as bridges, throwing them into disarray & delaying support for their frontline forces, stranding them….while the SK & USA forces deal with them. That will discourage both the NK frontline troops AND put fear & frustration into the NK leaders, as it would be tough for them to find new paths through their mountainous land (& slow-going) to do resupply, while getting chewed up during exposure to withering air & artillery attacks.

Another item? Use missiles to incinerate the remains of their old leader…and to destroy all statues of the NK rulers. Heh.

    • Patriot

Hmmm, what about a Tomahawk tipped with a large warhead full of skunk-scent…dropped right on Kim’s palace?! Hahaha!
