Insight as to why president Morsi was overthrown in Egypt

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

Morsi was elected by a majority, but that was because the Brotherhood in Egypt had a lot of members. The other “parties” running were fractured or had so many other members, that they could not have a Majority to defeat the Brotherhood. They voted for a bunch of different parties but the Brotherhood was organized enough and had enough members so that Morsi could get elected by a slim margin. I think it was 50 or 51 percent or something. Even in the USA, if you win by a slim majority, you will have a lot of people against you. In Egypt, because of economic and a bunch of other problems, along with a lot of young people under the age of 30, you will have a lot of angry males that want change to happen very fast..for the better. That is unrealistic, but when you have a young population that is willing to take to the streets along with some older angry people, you will have a lot of chaos and disorder.

Morsi should have asked the USA, China, Russia, or whoever else to have a meeting and ask for some financial aid and to talk with all the major people in the country. Instead he tried to rule on his own and told people to follow a more strict religious ruling and have people that believed in that. This just irritated the other side. All nations in the Middle East are different as well. You can’t apply what happens in Egypt to Syria, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Afganistan, Iraq, Kuwait, and others, etc. They are so different in economic, cultural, way of life, living standards, youth population, as well as a number of other things, etc. When the Military takes control of a country, nothing good will come out of it. What should have been done was to talk it out. Remember that in the United States, the deep economic crises was not solved in the first year or not even now, but a lot of the problems were done by “talking” and through elections by congress, etc. Egypt may have not been ready for Western democracy. It is very hard to understand the politics and culture of another country you have never experienced living in for a long while.

It had nothing to do with Democracy but the lack of it! Morsi installed a Extremist Religion agenda and personnel. Democracy is not one sided…. Morsi turned the party into a religious dictatorship!

… with no desire to address economy or anything not directly related to implementation of shariah law and a full blown ”hate everybody but us” islamic/ist way of life. I’m hopeful that it is inherent in every human being, to shun evil. a few embrace it but i think the natural, genetic, instinct, is to reject it. ”i think” democracy and whatnot is not first and foremost in their minds. their first thought, i hope, was to stop the smoke before an inferno occurred. we’ll see. if obama stays out of it, it’ll be magic to see how quick things turn for the better. I’m wishing good luck to ‘em!
