finally, yes, we need to have leaders not puppets, but if all we do it remove a puppet, we’ll get another puppet….that’s because the President is surrounded by a combination of corporate pressuring groups, the military industrial prison media complex, and more.plus the president is surrounded by congress reps who are themselves terrified of these forces so these reps, Democrat or Republican, much of the tiem tell the Pres, “sorry, I just can’t deliver the votes unless we water this down to….” and they are not lying, usually, when they say it, they really can’t deliver the votes b/c each congressperson is terrified…so Pres bends even more and more…plus for “plausible deniability” they actually HIDe info from president…that goes against invading, so pres can say honestly, “I was not told this other intercepted communication proves Assad did not do it” etc…

we need public finance of elections…it is less than 80 cents per month per person to fund it all (10/year = 3 billion, more than enough) and take out ALL special interest money, none allowed, except maybe say, 25 per person for each american, after that, no money just the public funding of all candidates who get enough signatures!
