Alert: Russia Doubles Battalions On Ukraine Border to Over 20,000 Troops (Video)

It has been reported that Russia has nearly doubled the number of its battalions near the Ukrainian border, as reported by Western officials on Monday, and could respond to the Kiev government’s gains there by launching a cross-border incursion with little or no warning.

During the past several weeks, Russia has actually built up 17 battalions — totaling 19,000 to 21,000 troops, according to one Western estimate — into a battle-ready force of infantry, armor, artillery and air defense just a few miles of the border.

Plus, it has vastly expanded its firepower, ever increasing the number of advanced surface-to-air missile units to 14 from eight, and deploying more than 30 artillery batteries, according to the officials.

Civilians are being “shipped” out (I would hesitate to say they are “made to leave” the area…but it is strongly advised) and are fleeing the Donetsk area as the Russians are planning a Military strike in that area trying to get the Separatists to a halt on whatever they think they are doing.

It is clearly a move Putin is doing to at least show an interest to align with Europe again. …so YES….Russia is doubleing and tripling their Battalions on the East Border of Ukraine
