May Day! North Korea Missile Crisis

Due to the miniaturization of nuclear warheads, North Korea’s “payloads” for its long-range missiles or ICBMs are compact with less mass, which means its rocket engines and missiles can also be much smaller in size for reaching distant targets that are very far away. Apparently, this is what America’s intelligence analysts do not comprehend and why they believe that it will take several more years before Pyongyang would be able to strike the United States while currently, based upon my research related to Pyongyang’s missile and nuclear programs over the past few years, North Korea’s very long-range missiles or ICBMs are now able to strike at any of the largest metropolitan areas in the United States with nuclear warheads derived from a compact hydrogen bomb that has been successfully tested. Unfortunately, the Obama Administration “scrapped” our Missile Defense System program, so America is not effectively protected from missiles launched from the Korean Peninsula or on naval submarines deployed at sea.

On February 8, 2016, North Korea launched a satellite into an orbit at 300 kilometers or 186.4 miles above the Earth. However, such advanced technology is able to also produce a very long-range missile or an Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM). Although there is a significant difference between the flight profiles for a satellite being launched into orbit contrasted with a long-range ballistic missile, the technological advancement made by North Korea in the last year has already reached the stage that its ICBMs are capable of striking any large populated area in the United States from a launch site on the Korean Peninsula. Naval submarines are also able to launch nuclear missiles from closer distances to North America. But Washington is unaware.

A ballistic missile launched into space does not go into orbit, but, rather, it takes an elliptical path through space and part in the Earth’s atmosphere. When an ICBM’s payload, which might be a nuclear warhead, coasts along its elliptical path through space, it re-enters the atmosphere and then impacts a designated target on the surface of the Earth. That could be your city.

Keep in mind that when a very long-range missile or ICBM has reached into space, it coasts on an elliptical course before it finally re-enters the atmosphere. So due to its inertia, it is able to coast or glide very long distances before re-entering the atmosphere. For this reason, the nuclear warhead is able to strike at any of the large cities on America’s Atlantic Seaboard with missiles launched from the Korean Peninsula as well as any other urban areas in the United States. Right now, more missiles are being produced in larger quantities at deep underground facilities.
