The Photo

In August of 2011 a couple returned to Chicago, the city where they once lived, to complete some business. After their work was done, they decided to reminisce and visit their old neighborhood.

When they were driving past their old ‘hunting grounds’ the wife suddenly remembered about a giant statue of a native American nearby. She convinced her husband to take a short drive to see if the statue still stood – she wanted to take a quick photo of it to show their friends back home.

They eventually located the impressive statue and managed to take a few angled snaps of it.

When they returned home to sharpen up the pictures they were surprised to see a strange bat-like object flying above the statue – they did not notice it when they were taking the photographs.

At first they thought it was some species of a bird but they quickly realized that it was way too big – what was it?

Two Red Eyes

A couple of days after the couple’s photo was taken, two female students in the Miller Park area were getting ready to go out for the evening when they saw a pair of red eyes glaring at them through the window.

The girl’s apartment was actually on the third floor so they had no idea how the creature behind these eyes was suspending itself – they left the apartment screaming in fear and eventually a gathering of concerned residents grouped around them downstairs.

Once they had managed to calm the girls down they were able to listen to their story involving the red eyes outside their window.

The residents searched the outside of the building but there was no sign of this red-eyed intruder.

Several hours after this incident, another group of students in the area came face to face with a seven foot tall ‘creature’ – believed to be the same creature that was perched outside the girl’s window.

They later described it to be dark gray, or black with deep red eyes – it stood there staring at them for a matter of seconds before flying off into the night sky.

The Humanoid Bat-Like Creature

In September of the same year (2011), a mass sighting was reported when a humanoid bat-like creature was spotted in Chicago flying about 12 feet above the ground.

This sighting seemed to spark a tidal wave of similar sightings throughout the city leading up to the winter months.
