Office: TheWeatherSpace.com has issued a Freezing Rain Warning effective tonight through Saturday morning …

Discussion: A warm front lifting across the region will work with temperatures at the surface being freezing, and above freezing a few thousand feet above Maine. This will bring Freezing Rain overnight tonight and into Saturday morning. Some areas inland will see significant ice, with over 0.25 – 0.50″ projected … and the SIGNIFICANT shading is similar to an ICE STORM WARNING … however it is a small area embedded and surrounding by the larger Freezing Rain zones (sub ice storm warning criteria), thus this areal warning will be good enough for 0.10″ – 0.25″ of ice.

Careful on the roads as they will be icy across the warning area. a TWS Freezing Rain Warning means that conditions are favorable in and around the warning area for freezing rain, with some areas having ice storm warning criteria as well.
