BREAKING: Significant Mid-Atlantic Snowstorm To Hit Starting Sunday, With Washington D.C. In The Middle

(TheWeatherSpace.com) – A significant snowstorm will hit the Mid-Atlantic Region on Sunday, with the core of the heaviest snowfall hitting Washington D.C.’s forecast zones into the Southern Half of New Jersey and the Northern half of Virginia.

A storm system that is coming out of Southern California now will merge with one coming out of the Pacific Northwest over the Gulf States on Saturday.  This merge will phase a system that will slide into the Mid-Atlantic regions starting Sunday.  The stationary front will be across Northern VA, Washington DC, DE, and most of the Southern half of NJ.  This is where significant snowfall amounts will fall.
 

However, snowfall amounts over 4″ will be probable over a wider area, stretching northward to the Southern New England coastal areas and the Southern half of PA.  Areas in the lower risk zones extend to Central New England, however this next storm is not a storm for those areas to receive significant snow conditions.
 

Snowfall will be possible down into extreme Northern North Carolina … anywhere south of the blue shade on the map will have rainfall …
