Weather Alert: Today's Hotspots 6/6/2014

Today’s hotspots consist of numerous severe thunderstorms developing across the Gulf States as an impulse from Oklahoma moves into the area through Arkansas and Tennessee.  This impulse will spark numerous thunderstorms across MS/AL/GA and tornado dynamics cannot be ruled out … still large hail and damaging winds will accompany the storms.  Expected time-frame is starting this later afternoon and going into some of the night … could be a light show for some of you in the southern portions of AL/GA …

Another hotspot is Southern SD through Central NE and off into Eastern CO, south into Eastern NM and into the Texas and Oklahoma Panhandles.  Numerous severe thunderstorms will form this afternoon and evening that of which may produce tornado dynamics.  These storms will form a bow echo line of damaging winds in excess of 70+ mph through Oklahoma and Kansas tonight.

Further lines of storms (isolated severe) may form ahead of it into Minnesota tonight.
