Weather Alert Central.com – An area of low pressure will cause numerous thunderstorms for Northern California, Western Nevada, and Southern Oregon come Sunday into Monday. Fire risk will be high as well.

A low pressure center is expected to anchor southwest of San Francisco on Sunday. This will pull up monsoonal moisture into the region and bring strong upper divergence profiles across the said areas. These areas such as Sacramento, Chico, San Francisco, Medford, Eureka, and Reno will be placed in the perfect position for this.

This is a widespread thunderstorm event. Numerous thunderstorms (some severe) will be likely during Sunday and Monday across the area.
