Flood Rains to Impact Southern Plains to Tennessee Valley Through Wednesday

Hurricane Vance is heading for Mexico and moisture streaming northeast of the storm will impact the Southern Plains and Tennessee Valley areas Tuesday into Wednesday, giving flood rains to most of the area.

The stationary front across the Southeast Texas Panhandle into Oklahoma will ignite tonight, giving the area widespread shower and thunderstorm activity.  Heavy rainfall across these zones overnight tonight and through Tuesday will lead to flood conditions at times.

This front will develop east-northeast into Arkansas on Tuesday and last across the area through Tuesday night.  This is a very slow moving system, a reason for the heavy rainfall numbers showing up on progs, which leads to flooding potential.

On Wednesday the front extends from South-Central TX to East TX into LA and MS into TN bringing heavy rainfall to the region.  Here are a list of times (local time) that the expected heavy rain will be over you for.

Oklahoma City, OK – Tonight through Tuesday afternoon
Dallas, TX – Tuesday evening through Wednesday morning
Little Rock, AR – Tuesday evening through Wednesday afternoon
