Things just got real as for only the third time in U.S. history, a Senate impeachment trial of a US president is officially underway following the swearing-in of senators as the jury and a Supreme Court judge to hear the case.

Add to that pressure the bombs dropped this week by alleged co-Ukraine conspirator Lev Parnas saying point-blank that Trump was calling the shots in the plan to dig up/makeup dirt on the son of his leading Democratic presidential opposition Joe Biden.  And Parnas says Vice President Pence and Attorney General William Barr were all aware of the plot.

Team Trump is facing some major clean up. That means bringing in the clean-up woman…umm, women Cubic Zirconia and Polyester…I mean Diamond and Silk.

The two went on FOX to defend Trump saying “Our President is being railroaded. The same tactics are being done to him what was done to our ancestors back during the Jim Crow day“.

It’s been a busy week of news, but Twitter wasn’t going to let Diamond and Silk slip by on that one…

The two women, real names Lynette Hardaway(Diamond) and Rochelle Richardson(Silk) were both Democrats until 2015 and not gaining much traction in launching their YouTube channel admitting their first video on Black Lives Matter barely clocked 10 views.  They switched to Republicans, became Black voices singing the praise of Trump and now boast 260+k subscribers on their YT channel.

Their political choice is just that…their choice. If that choice earns them a few bucks, then power to them–everyone else seems to be making bank on the Trump train. But when they mislead masses of people with wild conjecture like Trump is being treated like Black ancestors-it’s time for a little fact-finding.

Diamond and Silk went on to warn if Trump can be treated this way- you know, like a criminal then Black people it can happen to you too! Well, here’s a little bit of a history lesson for Diamond and Silk, the miscarriage of justice they imply is happening to Trump, has happened to Blacks in the past–and is still happening to Blacks now. Not to mention, how can Trump be treated like Black ancestors if those ancestors weren’t mistreated?

Trump isn’t being abused, beaten or hated by out of control liberals or Democrats because of the color of his skin.  He’s being tried on charges that he abused his power as President.  In what universe does that resemble Black people being chained, sold, beaten, raped and hanged?

Bringing up Black ancestors and implying injustice is a different dog whistle than we usually hear from team Trump. This dog whistle is designed to trigger Blacks by comparing Trump’s treatment to the injustices suffered by Black people.

To one degree, Diamond and Silk are right…Trump won’t get a fair trial just like many people of color and low-income are denied.  No, instead he will get a privileged trial granted to him because he is a White man. The Republican ruled Senate will fall on their swords to guarantee that justice turns a blind eye to Trump’s alleged lawbreaking deeds.  They will do this not out of fealty to Trump, but to save their own skin because they don’t want to lose their elected seats or their grip on the reigns of power–just like the illusion of power, money and influence Diamond and Silk think they have.

If Trump were being treated like a Black person as Diamond and Silk are trying to convince Black voters, we all know he would be under the jailhouse instead of answering sitting in the lap of luxury in the White House.
