Those 2 EXTREMES are literally less than 5% of the entire US population!!!
The other 95% represents everyone else, who (regardless of party affiliation) would make up the ‘sensible’ middle ground.
*’Sensible’ meaning ‘not willing to engage in butchering people with weapons, shooting people with weapons, stringing people up by their necks with nooses, throwing entire races of people in gas chambers, etc.’ — you get the point…
But yet… It seems that when a tough issue like this comes up, 75% of those representing the earlier stated ‘middle ground’ are quick to judge any and everyone who doesn’t agree with their side exactly, and then pigeon-hole them into the extreme 5%.
If you are scoring at home, or decent at math, that means that there is only roughly 20% of us that are indeed consistently sane on this issue.
That, my friends, is the definition of a mess.
