Cutting the Obese Beast: The Only Way to Reduce Deficit Spending and the National Debt

With all of the governmental waste going on, it is very obvious that the federal government can be reduced by one-half and still perform its duties and responsibilities.  This is what can be done to slim down the obese government:

We should abolish the IRS and just go to a flat tax. With the current problems in the following agencies, we should also abolish them: Secret Service (SS), GSA, DEA, ATF, ICE, EPA, DOL, DOE, DoE, HUD, DOS, DOJ, USPS, and HHS. Those actions would cut the size of government in half.

Many of the must-have responsibilities (but greatly reduced) can be folded in the surviving agencies. For example, the SS responsibility could be folded into the FBI, but greatly reduced. The Department of Education (DOE) responsibilities can be sent back to the states. With a flat tax, we would need no IRS. The must-need responsibilities of the Department of Energy (DoE) can be folded into the DOD. The GSA should be abolished. It is a worthless organization. The needed responsibilities could be folded into each agency’s procurement department.

We don’t need HUD at all. The DOS can be cut in half and also eliminate all foreign aid. The DOJ can be cut in half. They are wasting money on going after the states, which is egregious.  The ATF should be totally eliminated and transfer the must-need responsibilities to the FBI. The DEA should be totally eliminated and transfer the must-need responsibilities also to the FBI. HHS should be reduced by 50%, and we should eliminate Obamacare and most other welfare programs.

Eliminate Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae. Eliminate The Fed and stop printing currency already. Get the USA out of the UN–a subversive organization that threatens our national sovereignty. The EPA is a total waste terrorizing innocent citizens and confiscating their property. Eliminate it all together. Eliminate the DOL—It is not necessary since the unions are now running it. Outlaw all unions. Eliminate the USPS and turn its responsibilities over to private industry.

We need to take a machete to the government—and trim back the obesity, which is nothing but fat. Many of our needed agencies should be eliminated and then started over with a clean sheet of paper.
