No, I Wont Ask The I Ching

Yesterday I pondered on an article that went viral about the I Ching.

The I Ching is a beautiful book, very inspirational, spiritual and a great tutor in Tao. I’ve read it a couple of times, studied it, and it is indeed a high vibrational source for learning the basics of Tao and if one should want to, a great way to implement some new thought patterns.

But it’s really not new patterns, it’s old patterns. So old that I have doubts whether to call it ancient wisdom.

So it’s basically old age, going: New Age.

And even with I Ching, the world’s a mess, and it could be fair to ask:
How are things in China and Japan, where it has been a cultural heritage for centuries?
The most reptilian Chinese rulers used the I Ching before battles of war, and to manage a draconian society. And they still do.

Not I Ching’s fault, I’m sure. But, hey.

Using it as a guide for choices we make seems pretty Matrixfied. And that’s my main point here. We still see the matrix of outer control, spiritualized, since we would need a book to guide our choices.

Should I love this person? Got to ask the Oracle.
Should I endure in this venture? Got to ask the Oracle.
Should I buy a new car? Got to ask the Oracle.
Should I read this? Got to ask the Oracle.

How about choices made by gut feeling.
Choices made by longing for change in life that feels right.
Choices we make every day, by the synchronicity in our lives.
Choices we make by impulse.
What’s wrong with that?

I don’t really think that taking the free flow of life out by the introverted concepts of ancient guidelines which often indicates: Don’t take action, is very rational. A life killer, it could be.

The I Ching could very well be the spiritual excuse for not living your life, as the inner tide tells us to.

I´m very proud of my poor decision making in this life.

They piss me off, but I’m proud of them. And I could go into the “learning by doing “ concept, which is great, and say: We learn more from our bad decisions than from our successes’, and at some point we do, but hey: nothing beats sweet success if it’s a healthy success. On the other hand, nothing really beats a hammering defeat.

The secret formula is how we deal with so called success, and so called defeat.
