Emergency Prayer Request-Heart Surgery Crisis

Last Saturday I was prepared to head across America on my latest PRAYER JOURNEY ACROSS AMERICA. I was planning to head west, ultimately back to Montana and beyond. However, those plans changed rapidly when i received an email from a dear friend in Florida.

She wrote that her husband was in serious condition and facing major heart surgery at the age of 82 this week. Admitting that she did not handle medical crises well, especially regarding her own husband, she begged me to come day and stay with her and pray with her throughout this crisis. I responded that of course I would come, immediately.

And so I began my journey from NC to Florida, and arrived Sunday. Monday and Tuesday were spent in the hospital with her husband and he underwent preliminary testing prior to major heart surgery. The doctor admitted that the surgery procedure was risky and could even result in a stroke or other complications as well.

The wife, Sylvia, requests that you pray for her husband Vinnie Albanese as he faces this surgery later this week. She also want prayer for Vinnie’s salvation as well.

Vinnie comes from a fascinating background. He is old family Italian from New York. Vinnie is used to associating with Hollywood greats, and generating business deals worth millions and sometimes billions of dollars. His next door neighbor while living in California was Frank Sinatra, and Vinnie lived in Sinatra’s mother’s home that he bought from her. They were all close friends for many years.

Vinnie frequently spent time with Sinatra’s “rat pack” as it was called in those days.
Enjoying the lifestyle of”the rich, the elite and the powerful” it was nothing for Vinnie to gamble away $75,000 at a time in just one bet while vacationing in Las Vegas.

But for Vinnie, those years are now over. He is 82, his health is in critical condition, he now lies in a hospital bed awaiting further testing and major surgery. Eternity lies ahead for Vinnie.

But where will he spend eternity? No amount of money and connections can buy the priceless gift of salvation! Jesus already paid the price for our salvation with His precious blood: it is a free gift, available to all who reach out to Him to receive it.

His wonderful Christian wife has prayed for her beloved Vinnie many years for his salvation.  She wants him to spend eternity with Jesus her Savior. And frankly, so does Jesus!

Sylvia therefore requests your prayer for her husband Vinnie Albanese at this time. Please pray for a miracle touching his heart, both spiritually and physically. Pray that God’s love will reach into Vinnie’s life and open his heart to spiritual truth leading to salvation.

Pray also for a divine miracle of Vinnie’s physically healing for his heart condition, that no stroke develops, and that the surgery is successful.

Sylvia thanks you so very much for YOUR prayers, and so do I. God has called me to remain here with Sylvia, ministering to her and her husband, and to spend much time in prayer for God to touch the life  of Vinnie and to transform him for the glory of God. My prayer journey will resume as soon as this assignment from God is finished and successful.

How amazing are God’s ways! This certainly was not planned…at least, not by ME. But God had a better idea! Hang in there: I will keep you posted regarding Vinnie’s situation so you can pray with us through this incredible situation.  God bless you ALL.
