Watch As This Man With Road Rage Gets Dose of ‘Instant Karma’ (Viral Video)
This videographer going by the username Florida Driver posted video Wednesday, saying that she’d been tailed by the truck driver for three minutes.
“After about a minute, and me shaking my head, I pulled out my phone and started recording. I couldn’t move over because there were trucks in the right lane, and I sure as heck wasn’t going to speed on a rainy day with the roads being as slick as they were. I was turning left in about a half-mile when this happened,” the driver wrote.
“Now bear in mind, that this guy had already passed a truck in a left turn lane, was tailgating and driving recklessly on a wet slick road, wasn’t paying attention, and all in all being an ignorant [A**].
In the full video which I will post later, you will be able to see that not once was I mouthing off, I never brake checked him, and in fact until I watched the video after the accident I didn’t even know he shot a bird at me because I wasn’t looking at him at all, I was paying attention to the road while holding the phone up with my right hand,” the driver continued.
Watch as the man driving the black Ford pickup truck passed this driver and changed lanes, he lost control and spun out into a grassy median.
“That’s what you get,” the woman filming yelled as she laughed.

According to the driver who recorded the footage, the man in the truck fled the scene but with the video, law enforcement were able to identify and charge the driver.
“This moron could have easily killed somebody with his moronic behavior, and my laughing at the end would have been replaced with tears. Needless to say though, I’ve never seen Karma come back so fast,” the videographer wrote.

When I view this video, it looks like the driver filming this actually caused it by blocking the passing lane. Look how long the pickup truck was patiently waiting to get by while this butthead was poking along in the passing lane.

She was maintaining a consistent speed. it was his job to to keep in control of his own vehicle, if you look closely you will notice he started sliding out before he had completely over taken her..he probably spun out because he had one had on the wheel and the other hanging out the window flipping the lady off with his fat mug smiling keeping him distracted from focusing on his driving..

if you think she was correct in blocking the overtaking lane,and acting as a defacto police officer,i can only assume:
a. you do not drive.

b. if you do drive,you are not very good at it.
the rules of the road, the law has a posted speed limit, if the driver was doing the posted speedlimit, he had the right to be there. i guess in your mind you have the l out your gun and shoot him for not driving over the speed limit and breaking the law. if it were me i would of pulled the emergency brake and now be owning his house and all the rest of his property, i hope you tail gate me
While I agree the “left lane hog” should have gotten out of the way of faster traffic…the law in most states, the bugger eating moron in the pick-up got what he deserved.

She disabled comments on the video. She was “shocked” that people thought she was a moron. Which she is. I don’t think she realizes that she actually caused the accident, which makes her even more dangerous on the road. Somebody could’ve gotten hurt or killed–and she laughs about it!

You don’t know how they drive in Sweden’s highways, it’s like video game driving, you can go on 70mph sections 90 – 100 mph with little or no control. There are then of course those who are intent to make road-selfies of themselves going even above that. A long line of bumper to bumper drivers pass over you if you drive the regular 70mph. In USA that kind of offender would fly into jail, but in Sweden you pay only fines or lose your license for some months or a year, if anyone bothers to watch your driving. Not so many years ago Sweden had lower speeds than in Finland where I live, but now that the limits are heaved up, the young boys and grannies as well enjoy the speed game.
Yeah, I hope the driver of the pickup sees this video because it provides the proof that the cell phone idiot broke the law by detaining other traffic and caused the whole thing. “Half mile” my butt. You can see how long she was blocking this guy. She should have had that cell phone stuffed up her buzzoo.
Most states do have laws regarding left lane use. She started it off by hogging the “passing” lane! At 50, she was in the left lane for nearly 2 miles AFTER she started filming! Who knows how long BEFORE she started playing with her cell phone? She should also be cited, in my opinion.

I don’t know what the posted speed limit was, but she showed she was going almost 60 mph. … There were indeed two pickups/trucks in the right lane (if not, why did the Ford not pass on the right?? that is allowable). She didn’t speed up to get around them, but that is not required.
Slower vehicles keep right? Yes, but always and immediately?? Don’t be stupid. She would have had to brake to get behind the first truck, and merging back inbetween the two trucks would have been unwise. Not to mention illegal (following too closely).

I totally agree that the cell phone driver baited the pickup driver. However once the p/u was able to get around her, he should not have said anything or flipped her the bird. He should have sped up a little then safely got in front of her and went on with his business. i think this guy road raged one too many times and it cost him. The cell phone driver is a very impolite driver and if she felt the roads were that unsafe to go a little faster, THEN SHE SHOULD HAVE MOVED OVER IN TO THE SLOW LANE!
She said the roads were slippery. It looks like he tried to pass her, but she SPED UP at 1:09. So he had to increase his speed to pull up in front of her. (So when he passed her the 2nd time, he flipped her the bird, for speeding up to prevent him from passing–which is understandable).
You can see at 1:28 that he was actually trying to get to the left turn lane. Since they were both going faster, he had less time and distance (and less control at a higher speed on slippery roads) to actually get into the turn lane. She originally showed that she was going 50 mph, and she sped up; you start hydroplaning at about 35 mph.
So he had to pull up in front of her and then try to quickly get into the left turn lane. With the slippery roads, going 50+ mph, in a pickup with a much lighter back end, AND going in at a tight angle to get into the turn lane, he started to fishtail, then hit the sign on the median, then spun out.
So basically, she’s a jerk for speeding up. And by doing so, she caused the accident. She thinks he got what was coming to him, but I’d say based on this, her karma is much, much worse.

In the second and third paragraphs you mention that she hindered him from getting in to the left turn lane that he sought. In my opinion, had he waited a few seconds behind her…he could have safely maneuvered into his left turn lane, but he chose instead to waste time while passing her to give her ignorant hand gestures and yell obscenities before speeding up and quickly trying to get into a turn lane he could have (as i stated before) merged in to safely BEHIND HER, rather than trying to show her up by making unsafe lane changes, etc.

I agree, he could’ve waited. But he’s also a young guy, and obviously doesn’t have as much experience or wisdom as you do. He may have felt that it would be rude to hit the brakes right after the other truck driver had let him into the right lane. And they seem to have traveled about a couple miles during the video alone, which was plenty of time for him to pass her and get into the turn lane.
Guys tend to be more goal-oriented and focused on a specific task (it’s how their brains are wired). He’d been trying to pass her for awhile, and was probably intensely focused on waiting for an opening; once the driver on the right let him in, he just went for it–instead of realizing he could’ve just waited. Again, experience and wisdom. But SHE made the turn dangerous for him by speeding up, under those road conditions. He could’ve also hit bystanders–or oncoming traffic head-on, since he ended up on the other side of the road.
The bottom line is that when you see somebody driving like he was, you DON’T aggravate them like she did. (It can also get you hurt.) In the passing lane, you either speed up or move over. You DON’T speed up when someone tries to pass you. She’s a dangerous and stupid driver, and was screwing with him, big time. She caused the accident.
Here’s a little insight; you go 50 in the left lane, of course you’re going to have traffic piling up behind you. The woman was impeding normal traffic flow.
Not to be rude, but just for the record you were driving in the fast lane which is a No No. It’s only meant for passing. and in our state ( Illinois) you can get a ticket for staying in the fast lane too long. that’s why he gave you the finger. Speed: If you look closely, she wasn’t going that slow as she passed a truck and a car. She did film her speed which was 50mph and I don’t know what the speed limit was on that road.

Look at the spedometer at the :37 mark … she is going 57ish mph. We have NO IDEA what the speed limit is, so how on earth do we know she is going too slow? Hey Illinois, how fast are you supposed to go once you’re in that “passing” lane???? BTW, Illinois is where I saw some of the most mindless driving.
Of course it is not entirely possible to see in the video what happens at the 1:09 mark, my guess is he slowed down (instead of her speeding up) once he saw she was recording this. He is pretty clearly looking at her and trying to engage her with his poignant hand gesture. Does it seem likely (given “the bird”) that he was trying to get around her and put this behind him, or was he determined to continue his expression of displeasure with her for not complying with his every wish??
I don’t know what happened before this video starts, but during the video he is most certainly tail-gaiting. That is an absolute jackhole move. Anyone who says tail-gaiting is not the behavior of a short-sighted, reckless, impatient jerk-of-a-driver, is likely the aforementioned themselves.
To be clear, a cam-dash camera is the only way to go. I am soooo against phone conversations and texting and recording while driving. Well, in city traffic to be sure.

1.07 – as he’s trying to pass, you can see him looking in her car as he pulls up ahead of her
(note, he doesn’t flip her off this 1st time, just looks at her)
1.09 – she speeds up, preventing him from passing her
1.12 – you can see him looking into her car in astonishment as she accelerates past him
1.15 – his car accelerates to try to pass her a 2nd time – wouldn’t do this if “afraid” of filming
1.19 – he passes her and flips her off for speeding up – wouldn’t do this if “afraid” of filming
Most people “tailgate” to clue the driver in front to get out of their way. It looks like he was also trying to get enough acceleration to get in front of the truck in the right lane. This is probably what also clued in the other truck that he was trying to get around the idiot in front of him, who was clearly hogging up the passing lane. I don’t like tailgaters, but I also don’t like idiots in the passing lane. His “tailgating” appears to have had a reason.

Watch it twice – my 2cents: at about 1’40″ at 50 mph think it’s fair to say she traveled 11/2 miles of highway at best. Since we don’t see what precedes the initial taping we will leave that moot. Her side: clearly shows 2 trucks traveling in right lane, I didn’t see a speed limit sign so I don’t know. Says she didn’t speed up because of rain, yet it looked pretty mild and warm ( I’m up north ). Why she was recording instead of just hitting 55 and moving over is beyond me, however it does appear as if she had to stop at a light or sign perhaps at the end. In which case the speed limit is usually 45 (at least around here). MY thought: I hate being blocked by someone in the left lane – ya know right lane doing 55-58 in a 55 zone and someone gets in the left lane and does 58 and blocks traffic back “forever”. What annoys me the most is the “I’m observing the speed limit” crap without any clue to move over or realize everyone else is lined up. His Side: no real traffic – couple trucks in the right and apparently a middle aged lady
in the right of way

I was under the impression that the left lane was the passing lane? Why doesn’t she just move over and let him pass? No one was to her right, so it isn’t like she couldn’t get in the right lane (where she belonged, btw-she was only doing 50).

it wasn’t right what this guy was doing but this woman should maybe get some driving lessons. she was only going 50mph on a divided highway that probably has a 65mph speed limit. she is in the left passing lane for no reason why didn’t she move over so the @ss could pass? looked to me like he was just going to keep going until he saw she was filming him. and that’s another thing. its not safe using your phone like that while driving. some states its illegal. then to top everything off she stops in the highway! this woman is a bad driver!
This control freak, being passive aggressive and staying in the passing lane, is an SOB. The only thing she had to do was slow down a bit until the truck in the right lane moved ahead of her and then get over in the slow lane whee she belonged.
I spent 2 hours daily on my commute to and from work. The behavior that this passive aggressive female driver displayed is typical for the women I encountered on a daily basis. It demonstrates what has ling been known about women.

Her laughter about the accident demonstrates that she is actually a very hostile person. Most normal people would have been dismayed to see that truck being out of control. Many people could have been harmed.
