A Million NY Gun Owners Defy NY Safe Act Deadline (Video)

Unofficial estimates suggest that as few as 3,000-5,000 of the estimated 1-2 million firearms that have been redefined as “assault weapons” under New York’s utterly arbitrary and blatantly unconstitutional law have been registered. Literally dozens of gun owners in the state of 19.57 million (2012) residents took the opportunity to register yesterday.
Here in reality, owners of the firearms affected by the ban are choosing open defiance. Non-compliance of the ban is expected to be between 90%-99%, but a provision in the NY SAFE Act prevents registration data from being shared with the public.
Non-compliance in the neighboring state of Connecticut is thought to be in excess of 85%, with an estimated 80,000-100,000 gun owners refusing to register their firearms. Connecticut State Police havemade no move to enforce their law four months after their registration deadline, fearing possible armed resistance.
To me, this is the beginning of something ominous and volent. What will a government do when a naton defies it’s gun laws? If history is any teacher, the one thing that comes to mind is violence. They will take the guns, they will enforce their rule of law at all costs. It’s 2 states now,how many will defy in say 5 years from now? As I’ve said before, America is already in a civil war but it’s a political one. States vs DC, party vs party and others. The US isn’t very united at all right now. It could set the stage for any number of bad things that you do not want.

That is what happens when the politicians do not represent the will of the people. Try and force the people to comply and you will have violence. And on a level never seen here before. And when the people have had enough, they will round up those very politicians that betrayed them…

Once again, the original bill of rights were natural rights. That kind of right reduces down on the physical level all the way to the soul. The reason for this is the cognitive sciences did not exist during the time of our Founding Fathers (Immanuel Kant, the father of epistemology was a living peer of our Founding Fathers and was actually one of the fathers during the French Revolution having been carried away by the writings of Rousseau to the extent that he quit being a philosopher of science.
So, one cannot disarm the people. Try to do so and they will strap bombs to themselves. They will make guns if that becomes necessary just as they do down in Mexico.
So, please understand our Founding Fathers thinking that the original second amendment was a natural right and not a civil right. This first right is so much more concrete than the second one.
Consider the recent legislative judicial act in Ohio that forces Ohio to acknowledge same-sex marriages of those from other states.
Well, that same part of the Constitution — if they read it THAT way, would also have to include the “rights” AND “protections” of citizens of other states.
That would mean out of state CC-permit holders and AR-style rifle owners with BIG clips or magazines should then be allowed to carry in all states & cities where there are laws against such things. This would include their RIGHT to open carry for citizens of states that have open carry laws for firearms.
LMAO — the liberals don’t see this in their wrecklessness!
Imagine someone from AZ having full legal authority to open carry their sidearm in NYC, Conn., DC or Chicago!
I can hardly wait for this to come up in court, as legal ruling form precedents.
Likewise, I could argue that the rights & protections of out-of-staters might apply to low age-limits in drinking or sex in other states. Then, what about the people in states that legalized pot (although it is illegal by fed law)? Imagine how it might go over if judges continue the nonsense and start having to rule that Coloradoans can light up a joint in the face of cops in DC & elsewhere! Hah!
