FBI At School's Pools Of Blood: Chaotic Stabbings Injured 20, 4 Seriously

The FBI have been called to a school where pools of blood from at least 20-people injured and are in hospital, including one security guard from carnage that broke out early this morning just before school began. One youth is in custody.

At Franklin Regional High School in Murrysville, the attack occurred in crowded hallways minutes before school started this morning.

Murrysville Police Chief Thomas Seefeld said a radio call about “something critical going on at the high school” was put out by a school resource officer shortly before 7:15 a.m., and police arrived to find a “chaotic scene” with multiple victims in a first-floor hallway, including a security guard with a stomach wound, according to WTAE.

“He said the suspect had already been subdued by the combined efforts of an assistant principal and the school resource officer, who is also a Murrysville police officer.”

“I saw a pool of blood in front to my right, with a coffee mug there, and I was with my friend,” student Michael Float said. “We walked to the left — there was blood right where the double doors are all over the wall. I saw (my friend) towards the front of the school where the office is, with his shirt up, looking into the offices, screaming, ‘Help, help.’ (He had) a stab wound on his stomach, bleeding down.”

Of 19 students injured, four are suffering serious wounds, but all ar expected to survive, hospital officials said.

An injured school officer was discharged, according to ABC News. A school security guard called in the stabbing at 7:13 a.m. 

Detail the carnage are not being released but a spokesperson said, “The juvenile went down the hallway and was flashing two knives around and injured the people.”

KDKA confirmed that 16-year-old Alex Hribal is the suspect arrested for the stabbings. He is a sophomore at the high school.
