The Articles of Confederation period isn’t hidden, most American history isn’t taught in school these days.
It should be though, since the Articles of Confederation government was such a disastrous failure that it had to be replaced. The government was so loose it was breaking apart at the seams. The Constitution was a good replacement and worked well until around the 1900s when progressives like T.R. and Wilson popped on the scene and wanted more power for themselves than the Constitution allowed.
You forgot Lincoln and technology. As our knowledge rose so did your troubles.
I actually learned about the Articles of Confederation in fifth grade, and was even told that Washington was the first president under the Constitution.

The Continental Congress was not erased from history…If this is what you are eluding to, I tend to prefer written articles so i didn’t really watch the video here besides it wont play.
It is publicly known that 14 men served as president of the Congress starting in 1774 which actually was in place before the Deceleration of Independence. was signed in 1776.
Things changed up a bit after the Articles of Confederation. With John Hanson technically being declared the first President of the United States as he was the first to serve a term of 1 year. Although still being President of the Continental Congress November 5, 1781 to November 4, 1782.
History is written by the Victors. It’s all a damn lie.
