Hotel Cancels White Supremacist Group's Conference [Picture]

A white supremacist group planning to convene its annual meeting at a Nashville, TN hotel had its reservations cancelled by the hotel. The cancellations by Guesthouse Inn occurred  just two days before the meeting of Council of Conservative Citizens (CCC) was scheduled to begin, forcing the group to cancel their conference.  CCC board member Brad Griffin said they were expecting about 100 people to attend the conference.  Keynote speaker was to have been Jared Taylor, the most influential white nationalist in the country. Current CCC President Earl Holt was also to have addressed the conference. Holt has advocated for the lynching of black people with their “under-evolved frontal lobes,” and taking a gun into the black community to “mitigate” black crime.

 Michelle Jameson, Director of Sales for Guesthouse Inn, said reservations for the CCC event were cancelled after it was brought to their attention “what this group might possibly be.” The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), an organization that keeps track of hate groups, describes the CCC as a white supremacist hate organization. SPLC said the CCC evidently did not want to draw attention to the conference since it was not posted on the CCC website or on major racist forums. However, SPLC obtained an internal CCC newsletter about the scheduled conference and revealed that the conference would be held at the Guesthouse Inn.
