News Brief: PHILIPPINE PRESIDENT RODRIGO DUTERTE SAYS HE HEARD VOICE OF GOD ON AIRPLANE

On late Thursday evening, returning from his visit to Japan, the notoriously loose lipped president of the Philippines, Rodrigo Duterte, said that he was awake and looking out the window of the plane, while everyone else on the plane was sleeping, when he heard the voice of God. The voice said, “‘if you don’t stop epithets, I will bring this plane down now.”

President Duterte continued, “And I said, ‘Who is this?’ So, of course, ‘it’s God,’” he said.

“So, I promise God to … not express slang, cuss words and everything.”

Did President Duterte really hear from the God of Heaven, the God of all creation who sent His son Jesus/Yahshua to die for our sins; all of them and not just cuss words?

DOES ANYONE REALLY HEAR THE VOICE OF GOD?

Apostle Paul, a New Testament writer, heard Jesus’ voice as recorded in Acts 9:3-5, “As (Saul who became Paul) neared Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him. He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?” “Who are you, Lord?” Saul asked. “I am Yahshua ha’Mashiach (Salvation the Anointed One), whom you are persecuting,” he replied.

The Lord God Reveals His Voice to Elijah

1 Kings 19:11-13, “And behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind tore into the mountains and broke the rocks in pieces before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake; and after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire …a still small voice.

“So it was, when Elijah heard the voice, that he wrapped his face in his mantle and went out and stood in the entrance of the cave. Suddenly a voice came to him, and said, ‘What are you doing here, Elijah?’”

Today, the Lord speaks to us by His Holy Spirit

John 16:13, Yahshua ha’Mashiach (Anointed to bring Salvation) said, “…when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak: and He will show you THINGS TO COME.”

John 10:27, Yahshua ha’Mashiach (Anointed to bring Salvation) said, “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.”

Revelation 3:20, (Salvation God With Us says) “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.”

Hebrews 3:15, “Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion.”
