Why You're Going to Hate Your Next Trip to the Airport. And I Really Mean "Hate"

Remember the Andy Griffith show?  Sheriff Andy Taylor had this hilariously incompetent deputy named Fife…Barney Fife. He would walk around town with his skinny chest poked out all confident that he was keeping his town safe…but the criminals who came to town were quick to discover that Barney was an impotent lawman.  A guy with a badge and a uniform but the only bullet he had (remember? that ONE bullet) it was in his pocket, not is gun.  Cause Andy didn’t trust ole Barney to walk around town with a loaded weapon.  Barney made the show because he wasn’t security…he merely served as security theater and a laughing stock in Mayberry…day in day out.  

Well we have a modern day organization that should be called the BFA (the Barney Fife Administration)…you know it as the TSA.  It might sound good if I could call it Security Theater at its finest…but the sad part is, Barney Fife was more convincing than this blue-uniformed band of passenger molesting misfits.   To put it kindly, they’re about as useful as a trap door on a canoe.

Among Thousands of horror stories involving the TSA emerges the newest one.  A mother is outraged with the Transportation Security Administration after she said officers treated her family “like dogs” at the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. Jennifer Williamson posted a video to Facebook that shows a TSA agent thoroughly patting down her 13-year-old son for about two minutes. She said her family spent about an hour at the checkpoint and missed their flight as Grandpa Gropes-a-lot here, ceaselessly fondled her son.  We’ve become so dang desensitized to this whole thing that we think it’s all okay as long as the molester is wearing blue latex gloves and does the deed in public.
