This story so far is having trouble passing my smell test. We’re talking about a modern U.S. destroyer. Powerful and maneuverable, and bristling with the world’s most advanced radar that cost billions of dollars to develop. How in hǝll does one get crashed into a container ship, a slow-moving giant barge four times as big? Like the container ship didn’t show up on radar, and nobody saw it from the bridge? Gimme a break. Either this is unimaginably gross negligence or there’s more to the story.
