It’s a stark reminder of the Lord Jesus speaking of a straight and narrow way that few find, that many are called and few chosen, that nobody serves two masters. It’s all in scripture, the likes of Laodicean Joel, but it just does not register with people who don’t want the truth, who have never really repented and believed the whole gospel of the Bible. It’s because they don’t want to, rather want to believe they can live of the world, with one foot in hell, believe they can be saved by lip service to the Lord, Matthew 15:8.
Masses of people deluded and hellbound, right there in the pews, under the spell of false religion. This is one of the most grotesque things I can think of, something that, unlike BIN, does give me chills, when you consider the real, dire consequences in eternity for what amounts to most people you see.
