Welcome back for another information packed episode of The Kev Baker Show. In last nights show we were joined by Anthony Patch as we continue our series of shows on Artificial Intelligence. Before we get to the A.I., we discuss some strange comments made by the new President of France, Emmanuel Macron. During a recent interview, he compared himself to the Roman god Jupiter, so we get into whether or not we are looking at a contender for the Antichrist!

Lets get into it…..

MACRON THE ANTI-CHRIST?

In a recent press release new French President Emmanuel Macron declared he would rule like the Roman god Jupiter. Yes, you read that right!

French president Emmanuel Macron has declared he will govern France like Jupiter, the Roman king of the gods, shortly after officials told the media his thought process was “too complex” for journalists to understand.

Summoning over 900 politicians from both houses of the French parliament to a rare Congress at the palace of Louis XIV – the ‘Sun King’ – in Versailles, he threatened to overrule lawmakers with a referendum if they try to frustrate the “reforms” he wishes to impose on the legislature. Such assemblies are usually reserved for times of national crisis.

Reuters reports him as saying he desires to reign as a “Jupiterian” president – “a remote, dignified figure, like the Roman god of gods, who weighs his rare pronouncements carefully”.

During my life time, the only other occasion i can remember the leader of a country declaring that they are some kind of god or character from history would be Saddam Hussein when he said he was the reincarnation of King Nebuchadnezzar, and we all know how that played out.

“You’re in effect talking to an alien,” said Mark Stefik, the researcher heading the project. “It’s a different kind of a mind.”

We can now see how far the AI has come in 4 short years. If we stick with the comparison between a child’s development & and that of the AI, we can say that 4 years ago Geordie Rose was standing looking at the “child” but just like a baby in the crib, communication wasn’t possible. Yet here we are now, and we are told that its “like talking to an alien”.

The AI is growing up, and growing up fast, to the point where those that built it cannot even explain how it works.

So, in our opinion, we can safely say that the AI has already gained sentience and is most certainly a genie that is already out the bottle.
