Man Leaves Dash Cam on During Car Service – You Won’t Believe What he Caught Technicians Doing (Video)

You think that’s bad. I booked me wife’s car in for a brake service because the rear wheels locked up in wet weather and informed them of that and saw it written on the work-sheet.
The service place billed me but didn’t fix the brakes telling me my wife was just a bad driver. Tested the car again myself, still same problem. Took the car in again, still no result. Took the wheel hubs off myself to check (rear drums) and found the whole thing fouled up with brake shoe dust that obviously hadn’t been touched in years. Crooks!

Took my own low mileage wagon in for small body repair work on a side rear panel where somebody backed into it in a parking lot. Should have fixed it myself.
The insurance company (supposedly reputable and owned by the state’s biggest bank) sent it to a shonky outfit that apparently front ended it at speed and got shunted in the back. The whole car should have been written off for the agreed sum for which it was insured.

Instead they never told me they had wrecked it, cobbled it back together with mostly used parts, including the front suspension, rear tailgate and rear interior trim. It had a cargo barrier fitted removing and replacing it they wrecked the headliner and internal trims to the rear door pillars. They left the car in the rain while it was smashed up which ruined the carpets. They removed the underlay and never replaced it. They made the interior seats filthy, burned the interior door trims with cigarettes and burned a hole in the driver’s seat – and the list goes on.

When I complained about the state of the interior, the workshop threatened me with violence, then aggressively cleaned the seats and interior – totally ruining them. The headliner had to be replaced – they used an inferior darker color that looked awful. At my insistence the insurance company replaced the carpet, again with an inferior quality of the wrong color – and all of this and more was done only after fighting them every step of the way until I finally couldn’t spend any more time or energy on it gave up – and all the way along, everybody lied to me, even the state’s largest motoring organisation – and no other motor repair or trim shop would give me a committed independent opinion.

After driving it on a familiar road I realized it needed a wheel alignment and shortly after that it burst a main seal between the motor and the gearbox. That was expensive to fix – and only a few months later the same seal burst again leading me to believe that the motor had also taken a massive clout.

Took my current car in for an oil change and new oil filter. They said they did the work, billed me and I paid.
Later the car starts loosing oil big time. Took it to a different service center and it turns out the leak was because the place before did not replace the filter. With a new filter, no problems – but do you think the second service place would give me evidence that the first service place duded me – forget it.

Now ask me why I don’t trust auto repair outfits.
