Alcohol Related Liver Disease Deaths Are On The Rise: A Guess As To Why

More and more young adults are dying of alcohol-related liver diseases, and some health officials believe they know why.  The upward trend of death for younger people is a sobering reality about the world in which we live.

The increase in deaths among younger Americans is particularly troubling because it kills people in the prime of their life. “Each young patient that dies is a tragedy,” says Dr. Neehar Parikh a liver specialist at the University of Michigan Medical School. “It’s years of life lost,” said the doctor who co-authored a study published Wednesday in BMJ.

The authors of the study say that the increase in alcoholism which leads to cirrhosis of the liver, and subsequently, death can be attributed to one factor, in theory.  “It correlates with the global financial crisis,” Parikh says. “We hypothesize that there may be a loss of opportunity, and the psychological burden that comes with that may have driven some of those patients to abusive drinking.”

Although correlation does not necessarily mean causation, it is a reasonable theory, and we would like to expand upon it.

We guess it has something to do with the fact that the United States is far from the free nation many declare it to be.  Every single human on earth who is not a member of the ruling class of political elites is being oppressed unless of course, they have the money to buy their freedom from the rulers forced on us by voters. What’s even more depressing, is that most people in the U.S. go to the polls to demand more oppression of people they’ve never met as if that somehow means they’ve earned some more freedom.  It reminds of the saying “blowing out someone else’s candle does not make yours glow any brighter.”  And most Americans know that what they are subjecting their fellow citizens to is oppressive violence, yet the cognitive dissonance waring in their own mind thanks to years of government indoctrination propagated repeatedly makes things in their own head so convoluted they cannot even rationalize their own morals anymore. 

The rise in alcohol-related deaths overlaps with rising rates of binge drinking from 2002 to 2012 observed across much of the U.S. The authors noted a sharp spike in mortality starting in 2009. Although they maintain the reason is unclear, it stands to reason that people are dissatisfied with how things are on this planet and you’d have to be either incredibly stupid or immeasurably delusional to not notice the oppression and police state we are all enslaved by.

Dr. Elliot Tapper who is also listed as an author on the study realizes what a horrific trend this is. Tapper, a liver specialist and assistant professor of medicine at the University of Michigan Medical School, says there has been one stand out case where a young alcoholic was so addicted that his death stuck with the doctor. “What’s happening with young people is dismaying, to say the least,” says Tapper.
